Country Bear Jamboree

I love this attraction. I even had the soundtrack album as a small boy. On my first visit to MK as an adult (about a 15 year absence) I went to see it for nostalgic reasons but found that I still loved it.

"I think you should shoot him instead" :lmao:

I miss them bears. Out here at Disneyland they decided the the Pooh Bear should go where the Country Bears used to be. This is one of our never miss attractions when going to The Magic Kingdom.

I'm with Spike. We go see those bears every trip to Disney World because we can't see them here anymore. Though the bears in Disneyland had a different show and I hadn't seen the original Jamboree since I was a kid. The only thing is I really wish they'd fix the sound system. Other than that, never would I want to see them gone :scared1:

smells musty in there..needs a good cleaning

I rarely watch this show, its boring, but I repsect it is a classic for some..the bear swinging from the roof singing, she is terrible..makes you want to go get eaten by a bear and put out of your misery!!

LOVE the Country Bears -- DS and I go every trip, and sing along through the whole thing. And we sure weren't the only ones! :goodvibes The CBJ is a tradition for a whole lot of families... Disney can go mess with something else. *shakes her fist* :thumbsup2

I have only seen it once, on our first trip in 08, but I love it and for my own perosnal memories of our trip, we went too Disney for the first time ever, I had been dreaming about my trip ever since I was a kid and I finally got to take my kids and myself, everyones first trip and we were clueless as we walked into MK and our very first attraction was the Country Bears and will be every trip we take we will always start off with MK and the Country Bears as our personal tradition, well as long as it is there.

I'm indifferent - don't particularly love it, but respect the history. DW loathes it.

I think the "Woody's Roundup" idea is fantastic, though! That would be a great addition to Frontierland!

At least it has nostalgia going for it!

If you want to see something truly awful, check out Nemo the Musical in AK. That show is horrible to watch and painful to hear!

I love the Country Bears & see it everytime we go!

But then I even like the tiki, tiki, tiki room which my DH hates!!

I like it for nostalgic reasons, and because it is a fairly entertaining show if you're into old fashioned vaudeville type entertainment like I am. Although, the AA could use some revamping. I have a hard time getting past the sound of the gears/servos/whatever grinding when whenever the Moose blinks his eyes or moves his head. If they would modernize the technology a bit, I think it would be more enjoyable. But then would it still be nostaligic?

I really do enjoy the Country Bears. I especially love the Country Bears Christmas show !!! Too bad they haven't done the Christmas show in the past few years.

I like them just because I like them. I do also find them to be a neat part of the parks history.

I grew up in Disney and it's a must see for me. The thing I love the most about it is the whimsical nature of the songs and characters. It's an aspect of disney that is dying slowly and was in rides such as Horizons, World of Motion, the original Journey into Imagination with the dreamfinder, the original peoplemover with the ORAC host. Carosel of Progress has it. You can feel Walt's hand on those attractions. They are dated, corny, silly and yes I can see why you don't like them, but they are Old school Disney and what made me fall in love with the world to begin with. I know one day they will all be gone so I see them each chance i can.

I enjoy it for the nostalgia. I first saw it at the age 10 with my parents. It was one of the few attractions I remember.

I can't even begin to contemplate the MK without Big Al!!!

Don't mess with the Bears!!!!!

"There was......Blo-o-o-o-d, on the saddle---and...Bl-o-o-o-d all around. And a great big.....p-u-ddle of....bl-o-o-o-d on the ground"-
Sing it Big Al!

Can't go WDW without seeing the CBJ. My wife and kids aren't crazy about it, but they know- Dad has to see CBJ. It's just understood. It's a part of my childhood.

Going this August... CAN'T WAIT to see this again... I love it!

I love all the oldies :)

-p

I'm surprised so many people like this. I've been going to WDW since I was 2 or 3 and it doesn't hold any nostalgia for me (although, there are rides that do). Then again, I'm also one of those that couldn't give a hoot about Dumbo and that's pretty much sacrilege to say around here. LOL

We went this past June (first time w/ the kids, so thought I'd do it again after not going for many years) -- talk about CHEESE. My 7 year old found humor in it just out of its sheer corny-ness. If you want a break from the heat, go check it out, but otherwise, WHY?! :confused3

I love it love it! One because it's a classic but also for the silly humor. It's just a good time! DH and I randomly sing "Blood on the Saddle" every so often :lmao:

DH hadn't seen it until he was "grown up" and he has come to love it also.

I love the Country Bears, so don't hate on Teddy Beara! :lmao:

It definitely needs refurb, but it's a classic! My DS17 saw if with me for the first time last year and loved it. We went at 2am, just before EMH was ending, and were the only ones in the theater. It was a hoot!

I also had the album when I was a kid and used to listen to it all the time. For those interested, one of the latest episodes of the Inside The Magic podcast played it in it's entirety. :)
