Counting Our Nuts Like Chip & Dale, a Financially Aware PTR *Update 4/17 Pg 62 *

Oh, no about your foot!!! Here I was just reading along, catching up on all of your news, and wham! I feel like I fell into a hole, too! I am so, so, so sorry to hear about that! It does stink!

Love the pictures of your kitties! They always make me laugh! As does that Darth shirt! What a great find! :lmao: Those new Tevas are super adorable! I love that the black and white is a little bit dressier looking.

Feathers are all the rage here, too. Chelsea got one in Hilton Head this summer and it was the first time I had seen them. Now everyone seems to be getting them. Yours is very cute!

Okay, I laughed out loud over the moral to your Free Dining story! :rotfl: I am afraid to tell Charles about it because he would want to jump right on it, and I just don't think we should right now. Hurray for you adding nights!!! :yay:
Trust me, I have been reliving that fall many times a day. I wish I had avoided this because it just plain suckity sucks. I hate not being able to do anything for myself.

I thought of you when I found the darth shirt, I knew you would appreciate it. :goodvibes

You know, I honestly didn't think Marc would jump on it as quickly as he did. I worry with me being out of work for over a week that we shouldn't be adding extra money but Marc wants to keep everything as it is right now so I guess that it what we will do. :confused3 I just worry about everything but that is nothing new!

Wow, that's terrible for your foot and I hear ya on those crutches. I had knee surgery about 3 years ago and couldn't get around with crutches either. We also lived on the second floor with no elevator so I would go down the stairs on my bum (hey whatever works).

Also when I wanted to get out of the house (I had severe cabin fever) we went to the mall to do the groceries. We would get a wheelchair from the mall and my husband would push me around. It was better than the crutches.

Another thing he did to make them better is wrap a towel around the part that goes under the arms. I had a hard time with them because it would hurt under my arms and that added additional padding.

At least you'll have plenty of time to recover before your trip.

Walking down the street last night in Mpls after the Twins game, I saw a GAPING hole in the sidewalk at a corner. You could see the rebar exposed and it was just WAITING for someone to trip on it! I was telling my DH that they should have a cone there, and he said, then someone would trip on the cone!! I told him about your injury. Then he understood.

I never did see anyone fall at least.

Do you have to /get to stay home from work for a while?

I hope things get better quickly!! Make sure before Marc goes to work that you get lots of "stuff" piled up nearby - food, phone, remotes, books...

When we went to the ER I went down on my bum, it was torture but I did it. I just wanted to get to the ER at that point so I would have run on my foot if I had too. :lmao: Marc thought I was crazy to go to the ER but I knew something wasn't right. I've sprained my ankles before and it felt nothing like that.

I'm bummed that Marc works super long days. He leaves this house a little after 6AM and doesn't get home until after 5PM. It's going to be a very long week and lonely week. I'm going to be chomping at the bit by the end of the week.

My landlady actually lent me a walker today and I have only used it a little bit but it seems so much better so far. I still hop but its more stable than the crutches.

It's scary how much you can hurt yourself if you don't pay attention. Marc made a good point yesterday though. That it is probably better that I fell and not an older person who could have shattered a hip or something like that which would be a much more complicated injury. I guess I can take one for the team. :lmao: They better get the darn thing fixed though! Marc went by yesterday and it wasn't blocked off or anything, kinda makes me angry.

I'm off work until at least the 16th. I go back to see the specialist on the 15th and hopefully he will like my progress. I have to say that the pain is a lot better today but then again I took a three hour nap. :lmao:

I hope your foot is feeling at least a tad better!

I am feeling better. With the walker instead of the crutches I am a lot more mobile. I was also able to take the boot off this morning to shower without severe pain so that felt good too. Too bad I had to take a 90 minute nap after showering and dressing. :lmao: It takes a lot out of you!!

Bummer on your foot. Hope you have a speedy recovery. Guess that answers trying to go to WDW in Sept.

Love the 30 day challenge. Never thought of doing that before.

Just wanted to stop by and say "Hi". I know you are going stir crazy and I feel so bad for you, especially since you had been doing so well with the exercise. I know if I were in your "boots" I would be losing my mind!

So, I think if you are really bored you should read our East Meets West TR. It might take you until you fully recover, but we do have links!

Just sayin!

I know its absolutely crazy how tired you can be after doing something so normal. At least you're getting around better, do yourself a favor and don't push yourself to do too much too fast, it will just set you back. At least most planning can be done sitting down!

Exciting news about free dining and adding more nights :woohoo: But OH MY GOD you broke your foot?!?! You poor thing! Good thing it happened before Disney!!! Sending pixie dust your way for a swift recovery

I had been doing well in exercising, it's a bummer for sure. I am not one to just sit and not do anything. I like to multi task and it's not exactly working for me.

I should read that...I've been meaning too! I actually haven't spent a whole lot of time on the computer. I have been too busy sleeping on the couch. :lmao:

I'm trying not to push myself, it's hard though! I do want to plan our new park days but I haven't even had the energy to dig out the Disney park hours. :rotfl:

Fractured my foot, luckily I have a boot so I can take it off but that comes with extreme pain! I am very happy it didn't happen right before Disney. ANd who knows...maybe it will make the next six weeks FLY by. :rotfl2:

Well, I've had a very boring week. I just left the house for the first time today since going to the ER on Thursday night. Marc took me to Target and pushed me around in a store wheelchair, it was so nice to be out and about again! :goodvibes

The pain is a lot better and Im not taking my pain medication during the day, just at night to help me sleep. The only thing that is really bothering me now is that once again I have blisters. I mean, really? Apparently because of the way the boot was rubbing the bottom of my foot the wrong way. Oy. I just can't get away from those blisters! :rotfl:

I haven't really done any trip planning this week. I just have been laying on the couch and reading most days but I figured I should update. So how about another day in our countdown?

30 Day WDW Park Challenge: Day 4 - Favorite Attraction in Fantasyland

Marc & I have the same answer again....Mickey's Philharmagic! :wizard:

Sorry, but those are the best pictures that I have! I really want these posters, they should sell them in Disney!

I just love Mickey's Philharmagic, it combines all those movies that I grew up watching into one wonderful show.

What is your favorite attraction in Fantasyland??

I'm glad that the pain is getting better! Hopefully you'll be out and about more soon!

I think I'm going to go with Philharmagic too! I agree, those posters should be sold, they're so cute! I think my favorite part of the show is seeing all the little hands around you grabbing at the gems and other 3D stuff! :goodvibes

Fantasyland reminds me of my childhood but I have to admit that we FLY through that area. Those lines are so insane! Although we have found that late at night it's pretty fun to bang them all out quickly. Snow White was my favorite as a kid even though I would swear every time I wouldn't be scared THIS TIME but I always was :rotfl2:

I think we are going to visit my parents on Saturday and I couldn't be more excited. I feel like I'm going on an exotic adventure. :lmao:

I love watching the little ones grab at the graphics. Also, watching this with my Mom was so much fun, she had never seen it before and she acted just like a little kid. It was just great.

We usually do Fantasyland first thing in the morning so we don't wait in the crazy mid-day lines. Those lines do get crazy!

Glad you got to get out of the house finally! :thumbsup2

Hmmm, I don't know what my favorite Fantasyland attraction would be...I think it's a tie between Philharmagic and Peter Pan's Flight! :)

Yay for added nights to your trip! :woohoo: I will admit that you kind of lost me with all of the math, but it sounds like a good deal. And boo to fracturing your foot. I hope it heals quickly!

I agree - Philharmagic is my favorite Fantasyland attraction, too! :goodvibes

I love Philharmagic but we don't always get a chance to see it! We usually start touring in Fantasyland & don't want to take the time to stop for a show that early in the morning so we move on with the intention of coming back. At the end of the day it doesn't always make sense to backtrack just for one attraction. It's definitely on my to do list for November & April! Hopefully we'll get to see it at least once.

Philharmagic is my favorite too. :3dglasses I think it is my favorite attraction in all of MK actually. I love everything about it. And it is DH and DD's favorite too so we really enjoy it together! Now that I think of it, it is probably my 2nd favorite in all of WDW, only behind Soarin'! :thumbsup2
