We will be staying in a Kidani 2BR SV for a week in September, and we are taking our nephew (cutest in the world)! He’s been talking about seeing the animals since last year when we dined at Boma. Can you help us find a room to request with a great view of animals? Are the first floor rooms elevated like in the Jambo House? We’d also like to be fairly close to the bus stops, but not right on top of them where it might be too loud. We will also have a car to park. Thanks to any of those who have already had the pleasure of Kidani and are willing to provide any tips! We’d love to know what you loved or disliked about your room.

Counting down the days!

I was there 2 weeks ago. We were the last room in the Timon section, which is about in the middle of the curve to the right of the lobby, 3rd floor. The rest of the rooms to the end are Zazu section (no standard views in this section). If I had to do it again, I think I would request close to the lobby, 3rd floor. The animals seemed to hang out in the center more. The giraffes and zebras seemed to come down to the our section only when the handlers put food out there. When they were done eating, they went back to the center. There are no first floor rooms, that is where the parking is (which is awesome, the elevators take you right to your floor). The second floor was very busy because the lobby is on the second floor, that is why I would request 3.

We just got back from Kidani last night :sad1: We had a studio SV. I requested the second or third floor near the lobby. I'm not sure what "section" we were in but we were given room 7314, which is on the third floor and is fairly close to the lobby. We saw tons of animals very close to our balcony. The room was very convenient to the lobby, buses, community room, etc. It was a great location. Enjoy your trip, the hotel is amazing!

This is great information. Thank you both.

Debbie - was the Timon section to the right of the lobby as you were entering from the front door?

nvrennoughdisney - Was the studio you were in a dedicated or a lock-off?

Thanks again!

Timon section is to the right of the lobby and the further you go it becomes the Zazu section.

Try to take time to really enjoy the resort. So much artwork to see all over the place.... great details everywhere from the curtains, to the table legs, etc. Things you miss if you don't take the time to just sit back and observe.

Have a wonderful time! OH, and try Sanaa. Loved it!

If I remember correctly it was a lockoff. And I second the motion to try Sanaa; it was excellent (especially the bread starter). All of the CMs there really went out of their way for us, I hope the service stays that way!

nvrenough - YAY! Lockoff is great news, because we will be in a 2 BR. It keeps our family loving each other even after the trip is complete. :)

We have ressies for Sanaa. The menu just makes me a bit nervous. I enjoy Boma and Jiko, but I just don't see anything on the Sanaa menu that sounds good. However, I haven't see one single bad review on the place, and I have seen lots and lots of raving, excellent reviews. We are definitely going to have to at least give it a try.

Thank you for all of the recommendations everyone. One other question, I know that the resort is still under construction and not all open yet. What parts are open and what parts are still under construction? Thanks again.

Have a great trip to Kidani. We love it there. We were there in June in a 2 br lockoff standard view. Even there we heard little or nothing from outside.

I agree with the PP that suggests that you spend time at the resort. There really is so much to see. And the 2 br is spacious!

Have fun!

If you stay at Kidani in a studio where do you have to go and eat at an over the counter meal? Do they even have one?

I stayed in a 2-bedroom savannah view in room #7710. I absolutely loved it! If you are looking from the front entrance, it is in the first section to the left of the lobby. It is on the 3rd floor and was a dedicated 2-bedroom.

The parking garages were wonderful. Very easy to get to your room if you park at the closest elevators to your room.

I ate at Sanaa and wasn't that impressed. It was just okay for me. There are no quick service restaurants unless you go over to Animal Kingdom Lodge.

I really liked the resort even more that I thought I would. I hope you have a wonderful trip!
