Most QS places have pretty large portions at WDW. That isn't something I'd be particularly worried about. Second, keep in mind that QS menus tend to change perhaps more often that some of the TS places.
MK- doesn't really have that much to offer in any kind of dining. I prefer Starlight Ray's. It is quick, cute, and you can top off your burger with lots of veggie toppings. We often split a bacon double burger. For dessert (on
DDP)consider a yogurt, otherwise deeserts are a weak spot and yogurt is healthy and filling. Pecos Bills is similar, but eh atmosphere isn't s cute. Unless you happen to snag a spot right ebfore the parade , and then be prepared to be literally stompted on my parade viewers trying to literally climb on your table and chairs. If youa re willing to travel slightly outside the park - the QS at GF is really nice. It's quiet and you get a castle view if you eat outside. one more place that often has a so-so menu but a cute view is the Pinoochio Haus. It is really only cute if you can snag one of the prized window seats. Across teh way, is a stand that now sells Parm subs. They are pretty good , but that's about all they sell there and there's no tables right there.(They used to sell McDonald's fries.)
Epcot - Lots of great food choices in the WS. The Land also has great food. I love the tuna salad: seared sushi grade tuna on a salad. The tuna portion isn't huge, but what a Quick service meal! hey also have great soups sometimes. The sandwiches are jus okay. The wok stuff is pretty good. I thik the electric umbrella is kind of icky. Lots of great dessert options, esp. Norway and France! If you are thre during Food & Wine festival I'm sure there will be TONS of great options! Many F&W offerings counted as DDP 'snacks' last year!
HS: My favorite here is Pizza PLanet. Not the BEST pizza ever, but it has imporoved. The decor is cute. The other place that often has good food is the place way at teh back. I think it's called the Studio CAtering. It is red and is right next to the backlot Tour and the HIStK PLayground. The menu changes pretty often, but it's always been very good. The choices are limited, but it's rarely crowded. Portions are usually pretty good. The open air food area near ToT has always been very mdeiocre. You could also hop to Epcot to eat (15min boat ride). ther are also some choices betweenthe two parks, but mostly TS places. Some ofthe places on the BWK don't take or don't require reservations. Like ESPN.
AK; the best options these days, IMO, are the new Yak and Yeti QS, or Pizzafari. Othres love the BBQ, but we've never really enjoyed it. If you do opt for the BBQ place DO NOT feed the ducks!!!! They can be very aggressive! Yak and Yeti has a salad that is topped with chick and oranges. We also had somethig that came in like a Chinese take-out container. It was also pretty good. I think it was noodles; maybe lo mein.
Don't despair, Pop has one of the best food courts on property! It is quick! My one tip is to avoid the AM rush. Everyone arrives about 8:25-8:35. If you arrive by 8:15 you'll see no lines. At 8:35, it's PACKED!
