Counter service vs table service

We usually eat at 1 table service restaurant a day. Typically either breakfast or dinner and just go back to the room for lunch using groceries.

We are trying to save some money this trip. Would it be cheaper to skip doing table service and eat all counter service or would it likely cost just as much?

Anyone ever eaten all counter?

Also, we have gotten Dominoes delivered in the past. Any other non Disney restaurants that will deliver to our room?

The cost for a TS meal is higher then a CS meal so all CS should save you (unless you mean all CS include lunch which you normally do in your hotel room, then I could see that being a wash). I also think it depends on how much everyone in your party eats. I'm a light eater (my sister said I'm the only person she has ever gone on vacation with and managed to lose weight while on vacation)... I had us splitting a large CS breakfast between me, her and DD (3 1/2 at the time, she didn't eat much)... My point is that I can make a CS meal really go, like DD and I will be splitting kids meals on our next trip. So for me CS is clearly the winner when it comes to saving money; but then again I eat light and then let myself have at least one TS meal as a reward. Plus I'll get us a treat each every day in the park (and yet on the dining plan we had so many credits left that I was blowing them on our last day on cookies, like tons of cookies and rice crispy treats; and I even did a split stay to reduce the number of dining credits we had!) I may not be the best person to respond come to think of it :confused3

We do all counter service!! Counter service doesn't mean McDonalds! I'm sure you know that though. My husband's looking forward to the full rack of ribs at Animal Kingdom's Flame Tree BBQ, and I can hardly wait for BOG breakfast! Wolfgang Pucks down at Disney Springs has food so good, you cna't help but cry remembering how yum it was!! All of those on the QS! My boys and I are excited about the Darth Vader Chicken nuggets, waffles, and fries at Backlot in HollyWood Studios.

My advice is to look through the menus online, figure out what you would eat, and then use one of the online calculators to estimate if it's better to do the dining plan, or just pay out of pocket.

We just eat fruit or granola bar, or use a snack credit as breakfast, then do QK for lunch, and dinner. We've done it twice, plan to do it again in June. It works well for us, and based off that calculator, we always come out ahead.

Yes, you will save at least 18% of your meal total (and likely lots more) since there is no tip at CS and most CS is cheaper than TS (there are a few exception dishes)...
