Counter Service Restaurants: Closing Time?

Thanks to the buy 4/get 3 offer, for the first and probably only time ever we're treating ourselves to a stay at Bay Lake Tower - woohoo! We're really excited about being able to just walk on over to the Magic Kingdom whenever we want to. No ferries, monorails, buses, or cars required - now that's a dream vacation!

So to kick off our week, I was thinking how great it would be to go MK after our afternoon arrival, wander around for a bit, have dinner, and exit the park after closing when it's almost empty. The park closes at 9:00 that night and we have reservations at Tony's Town Square for 8:25.

The good: Without a doubt, we'll be getting out of the restaurant after the park closes.
The bad: The restaurant is located right at the exit to the park, so we're not going to get that special "no one's left but us" feeling.

So... I was considering cancelling the ADR & going to a counter service restaurant instead. I chose the 8:25 time at TTS because I figured it gave us plenty of leeway if our flight arrived late. But will we be able to get a counter service meal that late? I don't want to cancel an ADR & then find we can't get a meal anywhere else.

Any opinions or suggestions would be appreciated!

I want to say their counter service locations close one hour prior to the Magic Kingdom closing, however I am not 100% sure about that. Although have you checked to see if the Magic Kingdom is having Evening Extra Magic Hour on the day you arrive, because I think they might stay open a bit later.

I have often eaten at Casey's Corner late, and have seen people in there past park closing. Since its on Main Street and the stores stay open one hour past closing, maybe it does too. But for sure I have grabbed a hot dog after Wishes and the offical time when the park is closed.

As for being the last person out, they do keep Main Street open. So if your ADR is 8:25, and you get done at say 9:30 or even a bit later following a 9:00 p.m closing, you can pretty easily wander up Main Street and linger a bit longer. So even though you are close to the exit, you can still just wander up Main Street if its before 10:00 and enjoy the ambiance of the park!

We like to enjoy the park after others have filed out too. Especially on our first night!
