Does anyone know if the counter service mac and cheese has any egg in it? My DD is severely allergic to egg and loves mac and cheese. It seems like most mac and cheese that you buy in the store is egg free, but who knows when you are at a restaurant.

Thanks!

Your best bet to be sure is to ask when you get there. We ate mac and cheese several places at WDW and I am positive that it wasn't all the same - similar, but not all exactly the same. I would ask and if the person behind the counter doesn't know, ask to speak to a manager. Also, be sure to note that on all your table service reservations and tell the servers once you get there. Disney is very accomodating if they know your needs ahead of time.

The "standard" mac & cheese has egg white in it. There may be different kinds at some of the different restaurants/counter service, but ALWAYS let them know you have an allergy! At least 2 or 3 times a week I encounter a guest who AFTER the meal, let's us know that they have allergies! At that point, it's too late. Just a couple weeks ago, there was a little girl who had a peanut allergy and the family never told the server, never asked to see the chef, nothing! Well, she ate a chocolate chip cookie and then ended up in first aid all broken out in hives. I told the mom that while the cookies don't have any nuts in them, they're made in a facility that also makes peanut butter cookies and that's why we warn against them for peanut allergies. She looked at me like I just grew a third eye! Please! Always let the server know about any allergies! Sorry to rant, but I see it all the time! :earsboy:

Bummer...I was hoping that it was egg free. We are very cautious about asking and if a server does know, we don't risk it. I'm not concerned at all in the table service restaurants. The chefs and servers at WDW are great about allergy issues.

Also, FYI, the chicken fingers have egg white in the breading!

Knew that, but it's not an issue for us since we are vegetarians. I have no idea what we'll feed DD at CS restaurants without the mac and cheese option!

I know that a lot of the TS restaurant carry the gluten free mac & cheese and that is vegetarian.
