I'm sure this has been covered before, and I apologize for asking again, but I can't get the search to bring up what I'm looking for.

I'm 99% sure that I'm adding the QSP to our trip two weeks from now. I'd like to get the most bang for our buck with this and have found some helpful info for that, but what I'm struggling with is finding dinner 'worthy' choices that are counter service.

It's myself and an 8yo, and I'd also like to avoid places that only serve chicken nuggets and pizza for kids. We don't mind an occasional pizza or hot dog, but 2 meals a day for 8 days, that's too much! He's an adventurous kid and would like to enjoy himself too.

And so I don't have to start another post, are most meals at Pop Century's restaurant counter service?

THANKS! We're SO excited to be less than two weeks away from touching down in Orlando!!

all the meals at Pop Century are counter service - they have no table service restaurant.

Seems like the vast majority of counter service places have kids menu now, so he will have to order off the kids menu.

Good news is at Pop Century, he'll have some choices that are not just the standard nuggets; these are the kids picks as listed on AllEars.net:

Chicken Nuggets $4.49
Burger $4.49
Penne Pasta with Meatball - $4.49
Macaroni and Cheese - $4.49
Cheese Pizza Pita - $4.49
Broccoli Stir Fry - $4.49
Chicken Noodle Soup - $4.49
Vegetable Lo Mein - $4.49

But at a lot of the counter service in the parks, your typical choices will look like this one from Cosmic Rays in MK

Mixed Greens Salad with Chicken $4.49
Chicken Nuggets $4.49
Peanut Butter and Jelly $4.49
Chocolate Chip Cookie $1.19

If he's wanting a lot more choices, you'd be better off doing the regular dining plan & booking buffets for dinner every day...he can choose from anything on a buffet, not just the kids choices.

There is plenty of CS that is not burgers, nuggets and Pizza's. Go to www.allears.net (not .com, that will get you a hypnosis center) and click DINING at the top of the page in the center. Then over on the left, click Menus.

Then you can look at the menus from all the places and decide if there is someplace that has food you want, instead of eating at whats close to you when lunch hits. Most of the restaurants will say Snacks, Counter Service or Table Service at the top when you open the menu.

Thanks. I've spent the last week going over menus and I think we'll be ok. Between making sure we aim for variety (esp. with the kids options), me sharing my food with him, and using the food court-he loved some of the stuff there, I think we'll be ok.
