We are purchasing the dining plan and plan on using the counter service for breakfast, snack for lunch, and table service for dinner. We have our table services picked out. Snacks I'm sure we will just grab whatever is close, but breakfast I'm drawing a blank. Can you all recommend some good counter service breakfast options? :confused3

If you're wanting to not lose money on purchasing the DDP, you may want to rethink that. Most CS breakfasts are $5-$8 and only come with a drink (no dessert), so the most you might "spend" is around $11. For the 2012 plan, that means you need to "spend" $40 on your TS and snack to just break even.

However, if you decide to still go that way....

Your resort will give you the most variety for breakfast.

MK...... Main St. Bakery and Sleepy Hollow have breakfast items
Epcot..... Sunshine Seasons
AK..... Pizzafari, Kusafari Snacks, Harambe Fruit Market, and a Coffee Kiosk outside the park
HS.... Starring Rolls, Fairfax Fare, Writer's Stop

another option to optimize your plan is to use one counter service credit to split between two of you for breakfast and then split another counter service meal for lunch. For both breakfast and lunch there are many Combo or platter meals that are plenty big enough for 2 adults to split. An example would be at PO French Quarter there's a "Bounty Platter" for breakfast: it's a biscuit, a small Mickey waffle, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and breakfast potatoes. (every resort we've stayed at has some version of that type of platter available) Then go to Cosmic Rays in the Magic Kingdom and get the ribs & chicken combo meal...BBQ Ribs, a chicken quarter, mashed potatoes, green beans and a small prepackaged dessert. Again, we have split this meal and didn't actually finish it. Then you have your snack credits in case anyone gets hungry between meals. But have to say, hubby & I often end up not using the snack credits until we're ready to go home.

You can also use snack credits for breakfast, we will normally get a baked good and drink from the resort food court, using 2 snack credits. As much as I try I always have snack credits left at the end of the trip so we started using them for breakfasts! Then use your CS for lunch. Like others have said, spending your CS for breakfast isn't the most bang for your back on DDP.

At Main Street bakery my sister & I were able to use one CS credit for breakfast for the two of us. The CM actually suggested it b/c we were going to use two snack credits and she said she could put it together as a CS and even let us get an extra bottle of milk for "free" with it.
