Can anyone give me examples how they have used the CS on thier DDP so that it includes an appetizer and desert? I'm a bit lost.:upsidedow

No CS does not include an appetizer. It includes the entree (no sides), desert (most CS have a choice of 2) and your drink (some places give you a medium while others a large--no logic). Your entree is what it is, so if it's a sandwich with fries that is what you get, but if it's just a sandwich (WL--RF) you only get the sandwich nothing else. It can get pretty confusing sometimes, and don't always expect what one place does another will do because the rules seem to be different from park to park. CS at the value and moderate resorts seem to have the best options.

Counter service includes an entree, a drink and (at lunch and dinner) a dessert. If your entree is a "combo meal" like a burger and fries or soup and sandwich, then you have a side dish. If your entree is just a sandwich, then you just get that and a drink.

The resorts with food courts seem to have the widest selection of counter service meals.

One example of one is we went to Cosmic Rays for lunch. I had a burger and fries combo that came with a drink and I had the carrot cake for dessert. Another one is my kids went to Pizza Planet. They each had salade, pizza and a drink and for dessert they had bag of chips. At Pecos Bills we had the chicken wrap with fries and drink and for dessert we had the brownie peanut butter cake. Hope this helps:wizard:

It seems like the definition of "entree" for CS is "one menu item." For example, at the Pizza place near the Beauty & the Beast Theatre in MGM: They have Pizza or Salad or a Pizza & Salad combo. Any one of the three could be selected as the entree. (From my experience in Dec. 2006).

I'm just sooo confused about breakfast at CS if I don't choose a combo platter.

If you don't choose a breakfast platter, then your counter service credit can be used for a breakfast entree.
For example, at Old Port Royale, you could get the Adult Breakfast Platter - eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, toast OR you could get the French Toast with bacon OR the Mickey Waffle with Bacon and Fruit Topping OR the Mickey Waffle with Fruit Topping OR an Omelet OR... well, you get the picture.

Know something? Just go up to the counter or cash register (depending on CS facility design) and say, "I'm on the Dining Plan - what can I order?". The Cast Members are EXTREMELY helpful.
