Countdown activity ideas

Anyone have any good countdown activities? Im making 45 colored mickey heads & taping them to the kids door. Everyday they will get to take one down. Now im looking for fun activities to hype up their anticipation. We already try to watch a different Disney movie a week ( my local library has a great selection of Disney movies!) Any ideas greatly appreciated because movies is the only thing I can think of.

Making shirts to wear there? Links tie dye Mickey shirts? Or iron-ons? Maybe making an autograph book? Finding a disney themed snack to make and eat? Brainstorming ways to spread magic through random acts of kindness whisk at the world. Or even at home? puttung together notebooks of things to do on the way to Wdw (coloring pages, maps, games). What about family game night with a new disney game like headbandz?

We made a paper chain for our countdown and since we homeschool I started a post for sharing some activities and stuff. I'll be posting links there and hopefully others will too. Some will be academic, but since for me we're talking kindergarten, "academic" isn't necessarily super intensive and is generally fun.

Love the idea of putting together activities for the trip a family event, I was just going to do all that myself. I will need a lot of stuff we have a 20+ hour drive. Also good idea about Disney themed snacks, I may actually do that a couple days before we go so we can have fun snacks (that the kids helped to make) on the drive. Most of the other things Im doing solo as surprises for the little ones.
