We already has our ressies, but were curious if you could just rent a camp site at Ft. Wilderness for a week, but actually stay at a villa off site? Would you still get the benifits? It would be about the same price as a delux, but with alot more room.

I'm pretty sure Disney wants you to actually occupy the space you are paying for. I know before people have asked if they could pay for a room but just not stay in it for a few nights (so they get the value season price) and Disney says no.

Just wondering, what sort of benefits would you be looking for? To me the first and foremost benefit is the transportation Disney provides. Second is the whole disney atmosphere. By staying offsite you are all but doing away with both of these even if you did have a campsite.

Quite frankly, I don't know how they would know if you were staying there or not as long as you checked in and did what was necessary there. BUT, there are so many benefits of staying onsite that you would actually have to stay onsite for. The only ones that you wouldn't have to be there for is EMH and free parking &, imo, that isn't worth the extra $$$ just for that.

Plus, you could be taking a site away from someone who could ONLY go to WDW if they stayed at FW in a campsite. We did that for many years, and could not have afforded to stay offsite. If no sites were available, we just didn't go. I would have been very upset to think that someone booked a site just to get some perks they didn't want to pay Disney prices for.
