Could we start a prayer chain here...

Prayers from NJ as well....

For the protection of our troops
For the stength & courage of our troops and the good people of Iraq
For the leaders who will be chosen
For the hearts of those hardened by anger and hatred to be softened

For the families of our troops

This is my prayer as well!

This thread has really touched me today. I spend too much of my time trying to ignore what is happening over there, I just can not handle the loss of life and destruction that is occuring. Today, it has hit me like a ton of bricks! I need to pay attention and remember how much our troops are giving up to extend freedom elsewhere.

Prayers from upstate New York as well..

The polls open in one hour in Iraq. My prayers go out to all the men and women who will be voting, to the Iraqi security forces, and US forces who have helped make this possible.

Wonderful idea, I pray this election is successful and non violent... I pray for all who are brave enough to get out and vote and I pray for those who are afraid to take the risk...

I pray for those defending the freedom of the Iraqi people and ours as well..

I pray for those who are trying to prevent the election, that they will open their hearts and minds and decide against committing violence against their own and other people...

Absolutely! We keep them in our prayers always!

for the the elections in Iraq? That there will be a good turn out in spite of the threats and fear they must be facing. God bless our troops for the risk they face in the name of spreading freedom!

Praying here in Michigan. :grouphug:

Major prayers from Davenport, Iowa. I just found out today that my cousin Aaron's outfit is one of those in charge with keeping the peace for the elections in Baghdad.

Count me in! They did a prayer chain at my inlaws church for my DD when she was in the hospital and the docs decided to release her the very day they did the chain!

I hope all is going well and the Iraqis have a safe election and stability to follow in that entire region.

Keep em coming.

I have heard from DH and he is proud to be there this historic day. I'm still a nervous wreck and ready for this day to end!

Want to keep this one near the top. Even after the voting has finished we will need to keep praying while everything is finished.

I hear it is going well. The polls are closed now but there still may be some voters who were in line before the closing time. Keep praying for our troops and the good Iraqi citizens for a peaceful voting process. :)

Still praying for everyone over there and the all the families here worried about their loved ones.

Bumping this post up not only because I think it's sweet and thoughtful, I think it's wonderful that we all can put our differences aside and pray for those who are fighting for our country.

I pray that GOD not only keep his angels around your family members, but that he also give you all peace in knowing they will return to you safe and sound.

God Bless

Continued prayers for the safety of our troops and the people of Iraq!
