Congratulations Courtney and Ryan. I guessed right on what on the surprise was. There is nothing more exciting then being pregnant with your first baby. I'm sure you will be a wonderful mom. I was pregnant with my first (DD7) when I was 26 too. Don't worry Maddie will probably love the baby, my spoiled little Shih Tzu immediately loved my DD. Hope you have a happy & healthy pregnancy.

So happy for both of you (and your entire family)! My daughter and her husband are expecting their 1st in February, and we're all SOOOO excited!
She's feeling great now in her 2nd trimester, but she had quite a bit of morning sickness until a few weeks ago. She's also been VERY tired, so I know you must be, too. We are all so happy for you here on the DIS.....please keep us posted.

Congratulations on the baby!!

It's funny - I have outed a lot of my friends about being pregnant because they were drininking water at cocktail parties or at dinner instead of their usualy glass of wine. I am surprised your family didn't notice while on your vacation. (Not saying you are an alchie or anything but I seem to recall you like to have a cocktail while on vacation - just like me.)

Maybe some of you moms out there can repay Courtney for the makeup tips and post some pregnancy tips for her (like what lotion to use to avoid stretch marks, questions to ask her OB, etc.)

Never having been pregnant, I don't have any tips. But I will start with what I would do if I was pregnant. - get spa pedicures!! I imagine it would be feel nice if my feet were swelling and I couldn't see or reach my feet.
