Could use your help - preparations underway

We will be checking into Aulani next month and have a couple of questions as we finalize our plans,,,
1. Do they allow use of personal flotation devices in the pools? It would be a small inflatable so not terribly intrusive (similar to a pool noodle). If not in the pool would they be allowed in the lagoon?
2. We will be there during the Memorial Day weekend - do they usually have special activities for holidays? Just wondering what others have experienced in the past.
3. I’m sure this is posted somewhere but thought I would ask - how do I make a room request? The on-line check in tool asks about requests but it has a drop down box that only offers 2 options and no text option.

Looking forward to answers to your post. We check in on that Friday as well but stay until the following wednesday

From what I observed ...
1. No to the pool. Yes to the ocean
2. They have had some for x-mas and New Years when we've been there during those holidays. Can't speak to any other.
3. I've done requests two ways ... Thru DVC Member services and an email to the resort

Agree with the above - I think I used DVC member services chat, if you are DVC. Otherwise email or call the resort.

We were there over Easter and they had an egg hunt and I think some other activities - we went to Kualoa ranch and were gone most of the day so we missed it.

No to floaties in pool. They won’t even let you throw a soft ball.
We have been there over Memorial Day. Crazy busy with locals. Be sure to get down early for chairs.
We always have a specific room request. You can call them and have the customer service person write it in. It’s worked every time.
