Haven't been to the World in 16 years and my DD (10) has never been there. Will be attending for a cheerleading competition and have come up with the following as a tentative plan, please let me know what you think. We have dining plan, but DD and I will probably share some meals as she get adult meals too and the 3 of us would never eat that much.

Arrive Friday, around 4pm - counter service (most likely at AS Music) as we have team practice from 6-8

Sat. - competition either at MGM or WWS :cheer2: - so 2 counterservice meals
Sun. - competition either at MGM or WWS :cheer2: - so 2 counterservice meals
Mon. - MGM - lunch at Sci-Fi (share meal), Hollywood & Vine Fantasmic dinner
Tues - MK - lunch at Tony's Town (share meal), dinner - Crystal Palace
Wed - AK - counter service lunch, Rainforest Cafe dinner (have gift certificates so not using credits)
Thurs - Epcot - Whispering Canyon for breakfast (either share or 1 OOP meal), Hoop-Dee-Do for dinner
Fri - O'Hana breakfast

Have 1 counterservice meal left to use one of the days or for lunch before we leave on last day.

I figure we will most likely only eat 2 meals a day. Any thoughts on this? :confused3

When is your trip, April? March?

Your list looks great. Just remember, the better chefs work in the hotels. That is the more desirable jobs, for chefs. They tend to be healthier, less salt, more flavor and more experimental.

I would suggest BOMA as a dining option. It's a buffet with many types of different cuisine.

Ohana's is also great for dinner if you would opt for change. Afterwards you can watch Wishes from Poly.

Our trip will be in March. I mainly picked O'Hana as that was DD's 1st choice for character meal. DH's only pick was HDDR as we went there on our honeymoon (last trip there - 17 years ago as of April '06. Other than those 2 choices, they don't seem to care where we go, but I'm afraid I'll hear about it if they don't like my choices. :scared1:

I suggest you try Tusker House in AK. It's the best counter service in any of the parks, in my opinion. Have a great trip :earsboy:

Thanks, I will make sure to check out Tusker House. Does anyone else have any CS suggestions for MGM, MK or Epcot. I think we will have some time to be in those parks during the competition also.

Thanks!

They look like good choices! I second Boma, we love it for breakfast or dinner. We also never skip the Flame Tree BBQ at Animal kingdom. Enjoy your stay! :earsboy:

We love Cantina de San Angel - the counter service in Mexico at Epcot & Flame Tree BBQ - a counter service at AK. :)

Boma at AKL is one of our favorite places for breakfast & we are looking forward to trying it for dinner on our upcoming trip. :) 'Ohanna's is a great character breakfast - it's never as crowded as some of the ones inside the parks. These 2 restaurants are must-do's for us on our trips.

Have fun! :)

Now you've got me rethinking - I'm a very picky eater, would I be able to find items to eat at Boma? I'm one of those if I'm not sure what it is - I'm not gonna eat it. Don't eat many fruits, am very picky about things like mushrooms, etc in my foods.
