Could use some help....

We joined DVC in Feb. We went in June and used most of our points for signing up. Then I rolled over all of last yrs points into next yr (aug use year). So in October I have 3 rooms reserved. They are reserved with the points from 07 UY.

Well one of our families has canceled. So we will be canceling a room for October. I already have Feb 2 bedroom booked for a week.... with 08 UY points. Once I cancel the room can I change the Feb booking to use the rollover points from o7 or am I basically screwed? Would they have to cancel and rebook the 2 bedroom unit, or can they reallocate points like that?

We have been in Feb,June, Oct and again in Feb. I am seriously doubting we will have the time or finances for another trip (which sucks) and I don't want to lose those points.

I hate to say it but it may depend on which CM at MS answers the phone when you call. I had a similar situation once and was told by 2 different CMs that I COULD reallocate the points, as you described, without canceling and rebooking. Then when the time came to do it, the CM who answered the phone said no. I hung up and called back and the next CM said "No problem." I was told that as long as the reallocation is not effectively nullifying the 11/7 month booking window rules, it is okay.

First they have to officially tell me they are canceling. I guess it looks like this could make someone very happy with AKV irking ppl that same week out of CL!
