Could this work?

All due respect, OP, you're being severely underpaid.
Babysitting agencies charge $9 per hour for one child ismf the customer pays by a credit card on file, $14 per hour otherwise. This http://www.city-data.com/forum/charlotte/351090-babysitter-pay.html forum conversation from the Charlotte area shows that four years ago, teenagers were getting paid twice as much then as you (likely more experienced than they) are now.

I just want to apologize for sounding rude yesterday. I didn't think before I responded. I was in a rush to get to class and just typed without thinking. I honestly feel stupid...

Anyway, after thoroughly reading everyone's responses I decided I am just going to go ahead and pay for parking. I'll just have to babysit a lot more because I only get paid 3 dollars an hour haha! I didn't think it would be a big deal, but I realize now that the right thing to do is to pay. I did ask for advice after all. I know, I know...I probably sound bipolar, but I couldn't even sleep last night thinking about how rude I was. I don't want to have a bad name on the boards either because I'm really not like this in real life.

Once again, not in a sarcastic way, thanks for the advice!
I think you'll find that you have made a very good decision. Yes, it's tempting to try and do it 'on the cheap'...but sometimes time is money. And you really don't want to be wasting all that time getting to a park when you could be there and having a great time.
No worries.....we are all fine here. We have fairly thick skin. But it is nice to have someone come back and let us know that we actually made some kind of sense!!
And you are grossly underpaid at $3 an hour for babysitting. About 3 times that up here in NE. You may want to charge a bit more!!!

As goofy4tink mentioned...time is money. For me, I just don't want to stand around waiting for things then stand around on the bus and drive to other resorts before mine. I think you will be happy with your decision.

Heck...at $3 an hr. it might be cheaper to fly you up here to babysit than what I pay my babysitter. ;)

may want to take the route that I suggested earlier and have breakfast in your room and bring a soft sided cooler for lunches. That would save you quite a bit of money. We buy a case of water bottles and freeze a couple every night. They double as ice for the cooler and are very refreshing when they begin to melt.

Have a great trip! BTW, it takes a very big person to come back to apologize. :flower3:

Totally off topic, but you've got to be kidding about getting paid $3.00/hour to babysit. If not, you are being grossly underpaid. My 15 y/o GD babysits a little boy after school every day. She gets paid $10.00/hour, plus all the snacks she wants. This is a teenager babysitting one 7 y/o little boy who lives a few doors down from her. She rides the bus home from school with him, fixes them both a snack, does their homework together with her giving him help if needed, then watches TV with him. No housework and no other chores.

Just remember, the Transportation Board (and the Theme Park board for that matter) is a full contact sport (think hockey vs baseball or tennis on the other board) :p We have a lot of fun, but we also don't beat around the bush. You'll get great answers, they are just just forthright versus sympathetic or meandering. :thumbsup2 Oh, and may the Fourth be with you....in two weeks :thumbsup2

But it is nice to have someone come back and let us know that we actually made some kind of sense!!
Who, us?!? :rotfl: :lmao: :hyper:

OP...I agree,I think you're not getting enough money for babysitting,ask for a raise!:cool1:
And parking at DTD you'll find,is a big old pain in the $@#!&@*^@;)
It takes a lot longer to take buses to/from there than anywhere else on property...I don't pretend to know the reason, but ugh.:rolleyes2
And if you're there for SWW,I understand things get BUSY on those weekends...you want to be there early, and stay late! I think in this case, when you're there on a premium weekend, you should just park 'normally',you'll be much happier in the end.
(and ask for a raise:thumbsup2)
