I think many families care or their school districts care enough for them to make missing days for vacation difficult for many.

I think the wish will be more discounted than the fantasy and shorter cruises more discounted than longer ones. 5 night cruises are more popular than 4 night in my experience.

We have to care as if our kids miss school. When they were little we didn't but now in high school it takes forever to recover. It's a bummer.

We never cared. We knew they would learn way more on vacation than in the classroom. compulsory learning is just in place to stifle dissent.

I didn't either. But I have no more skin in that game. But I have read where now that schools are starting to really crack down on parents doing such. They want allll thier dollars they are eligible for. But that was one of our best decisions in our life, taking our kids out of school for Disney!

I agree. I now think the Wish will be discounted more.

Well in the end they cant do anything about it. You can legally miss a certain number per semester. I could miss 14.5 in high school. We homeschooled and partially for this purpose so we had complete control. They went to school in high school but we just did their homework lists before we left.

You are overthinking. This is what happens when you only want to sail on one cruise line. If you open yourself up to any cruise line on any date you will find the price you are looking for and it may even end up being on Disney.

I agree, but if you put your kids in the system then you have to play by their rules. A lot of families are opting out the schools system( around 4 million} that's why you see lots of kids on offseason cruises...in addition to the kids that are in school and pulled out by parents.
