Could the reopening be pushed back?

Anyway, people need to start trusting their own analytical abilities. Yesterday, we had a director of the CDC state that the dramatically falling death rate did not matter, that it was a “false narrative,” whatever that means. Of course, the death rate matters. It matter more than anything that at this point very few people are dying from Covid. It is actually the rate of infection that does not matter, partly because we really do not know what it was before we started mass testing. Death rate is the key. Death numbers are the key. And yet many people get their brains to do mental gymnastics to accept and justify the CDC director’s statement. My point is simply start analyzing, don’t just parrot, and trust your ability to see things right in front of your face.

In the US, 29 children under 15 have died from COVID-19, ever.

I think with the NY Times article out today and what D'Amaro said in it should put to rest if they are opening on Saturday or night.

It is clear from his remarks they will open on Saturday.

So now lets see what happens going forward........

The danger is when we stop listening to people like Dr. Fauci and start listening to politicians. What Fauci meant was the death rate declining is a false narrative of the current state of the virus and it should not be taken as a sign that we are putting this behind us. Rather, the dramatic rise in new cases will ultimately result in the death count increasing in 4-8 weeks (or longer) once the virus runs it's course through those newly infected today.

Also, the testing numbers are also a false narrative. States are increasing testing, but the positive percentage of those being tested is going UP, not down. My own analytical abilities tell me that if the virus spread is staying constant, but testing is going up, then the positive test percentage would be dropping. Instead, using Florida as an example, they have been between 18-20% positive tests in the past few weeks. That is what NY was at the peak. Today, NY is around 2-3%.

We need to start trusting science, not politicians with a re-election agenda.

New York's peak was 50% testing positive.

We cancelled September WDW. Hoping we feel safe enough to go to HHI.

Don’t think this has been said, but my search may be a bit weak...
