Could someone tell me about Storm Along Bay?

Just my opinion but the lazy river to me is not very lazy. It is 8 feet deep and very swift. So if your child is not a strong swimmer be careful in this area.

DH and I own at BCV and have been 3 times, (once with grandkids) SAB is IMHO the best pool at Disney Resorts (we have stayed at quite a few others)
The lazy river has a VERY strong current that pushes you around (you can rent tubes for here too) There seems to always be about 3 life guards in this area they will follow you around as you swim, it does go up to 8 feet deep. The slide empty's into a large swimming area (deepest 5 feet) which you have to get out of to cross over to the lazy river. The sand beach 1 foot pool area is where most children go, they love the sand bottom of the pool (my grandson included) There is a great CM who plays with the children here I watched once as a group of kids happily covered him with sand on the beach than went into pool to play with a large beachball and after made great sandcastles! The kiddies slide is on the lake side (across the BCV walkway) the same place you enter the Pirate Ship Slide, it is a small slide that goes into a small pool I think it is great for little ones (toddlers-pre-schoolers).
SAB is fenced in and CM's stand by the towel racks, they will ask if you are going to go swimming and you have to show your room key to receive a bracelet, if not going to swim they will let you walk around to check it all out!
We love this pool, plenty of chairs to sit(in sun & shade) plenty of towels and heated just right! The DVC private pool says it is heated but it is not anywhere as warm as SAB (This is at least 80) for winter months!!
SAB is something you just have to do!!
