We booked our airfare through the disneyland.com site, as part of the package. From Denver to Orange County was $350 a ticket going directly through the United website. We got the same flight for under $250 a person. For 4 people, that's a huge savings!
Now, going to LAX would have been $25 a ticket cheaper, but we decided that the convenience and smaller size of Orange County was worth the extra $100 in airfare.
From what I read here, we won't be regretting that decision...
