I have a mixture of ages, and would have to stay at ASMuFS or the Ft. Wilderness cabins. Could someone please help me with pricing it out with the nw Kids stay/play free offer?? I would be so appreciative!!:worship:

It would be DH and I, DD 14, DS 11, DS 9, DD 8, and DD 1. 3/12 - 19, 2011. Thanks!!!! :flower3:

well since i'm not doing anything at work, i was going to start working on this for you. i was looking at the occupancy and pictures of ASMuFS and it doesn't seem like a lot of room for 6 and a baby. They're counting 2 people to sleep on a twin sleeper chair :(

sorry, just wanted to double check with you. i'll see what i come up with.

OH... and what kind of tickets and dining plan were you looking for?

From what I understand, the offer will be for a 4-day/4-night stay and offers cannot be combined. So if you're looking to go for 8 nights, you would probably have to book 2 separate reservations.

If that's the case, then you would also be paying for 2 separate 4-day theme park tickets instead of 1 8-day park ticket, so you'd be losing money there as well.

I would price out the same package with the current room-only discount they're offering. A quick check just now shows that family suites at ASM are available for the dates you want at $3507 (includes theme park tickets for 2 adults and 4 kids; DD1 gets in free) or a cabin for $3795. Neither of those includes a meal plan, and the current rate expires today and beginning tomorrow the discount will be smaller.

I did not price out the cost of stay & play free because I do not know the exact rules and I honestly think it would be more expensive if you need to book 2 separate packages (4 days & 4 days with separate park tickets).

Turk, typically the four day/four night (which is usually 5day/4night in resort jargon, this language surprised me) is simply an example of available pricing and historically, disney has permitted changes in length of stay, sometimes w/a cap (i.e. 10 day tix)...

to the OP, if you are not adding a dining plan, just price it out w/the 2A/2 10+ C... if you are adding a dining plan, it gets trickier to price as their tix will be free but their dining plan will not be... so do the math on the dining plan separately (add it for all of you, then take the two younger kids off the reservation and do the math between the two)

No that's not correct - someone else just confirmed that that's just the minimum offer - they have booked it for a 7 night stay. That's the way most of the offers normally work.

the ASMuFSs have a queen in the master (2A), a dbl and 2 twins (4 kids) and a pack 'n play (baby) so they would all fit and no need for two people to share one twin sleeper...

Good to know! I've never taken this offer so I was just reading what I saw on the Disney Visa page. I was about to do a lot of math and options for nothing! Hah!

To the OP - Good luck with whatever you choose! It's pretty simple to price out. I would do it but I'm on my out!

sorry! i thought the ottoman and the chair made one bed together!
didn't know they actually made 2 twins! Guess I couldn't picture an ottoman turning into a bed :confused3

Here's what I read:
Queen-size bed
Double-size sleeper sofa
1 convertible sleeper chair, and 1 convertible sleeper ottoman

Based on the ages of your children, basically, two of the children will get their tickets for free. Depending on how long you stay and the type of ticket, will depend on the actual savings.

But, a 7 day, park hopper with water fun and more is approx. $280 per child so I figure it is savings of just under $600. I get the package price, with the special at the cabins to be around $4500. That would be for 7 nights and 7 day park hopper with water fun and more option for everyone.

If you got tickets without those extra options, it would be less.

from what I figured, ASMusic Family Suite plus tickets for 2 adults and 2 "adult" children for (8 days) is right at $3500.

oh - if they offer the free dining again, that may save you more. I figured two rooms at a value:
Room 1 (1 adult, 2 "adult" children, ages 15, 11) + tickets = $1858
Room 2 (1 adult, 3 children ages 9, 8, 1) + tickets = $1825
for a total of $3683, so it is more than the suite but this price would include food.

Good luck!!

What about booking the kids free package for 4 nights, upgrading your tickets to 8 days, then booking the other 4 nights on a separate reservation w/ room only discount?

Am I thinking right - would this work? I guess it would only work if you weren't planning on adding the dining plan for your whole stay. And if they didn't make you switch rooms. :scared1:
