Okay... I'm confused.. There are TWO cypress resort and cypress grand villa's BOTH are listed at hotelkingdom TWO seperate prices but even if you pay for the grand villa's your not guaranteed to get it? so why not just pay for the Resort? Also from what I can see HotelKingdom is 63 something a night which is cheaper than hotelmartUSA which would explain why they wouldn't price match ??

is this making any sesne? can someone explain the difference between the villa and the resort? both have the same dexcriptions on both sites but one is older than the other? is that it? do they have the same ammenities? same pools? do the rooms still have the jaccuzzi tub, 2 bedrooms, kitchen etc?

I might be about to confuse things further but.. there are the Villas of Grand Cypress - which are upscale individual villas on the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress Golf course - is that what you mean ? I have not heard of Cypress Grand Villas.

This is a totally unconnected place to Cypress Pointe Villas which is also in the LBV area but is a more standard resort/apartment location similar to Vistana, Westgate etc. I think Cypress point also have a category of Villa they call Grand Villas.. just to confuse further !

If i'm totally off the point then I am sorry but maybe they should think of using some more original names in that area !!

sorry..... your right it should reat

Cypress Point Resort

and

Cypress Point Grand VIlla's

This is a confusing issue. From what I have gleaned hotelkingdom breaks them into 2 parts the prices on each part are not always the same. Last week the resort 3 bedroom villa was $114 and the grandvilla 3 bedroom $128 for the week I'm staying in August Hotel kingdom told me the price difference was because the GV was bigger and new which is true. However the Cypress Pointe front desk says that they assign the rooms at check in and you are not assured Phase 1 or Phase 2. That being said I was leary about paying more for a 3 bedroom at Phase 2 and winding up in Phase 1. I hear both sections are nice supposedly the older section has been recently refurbished. Hotelmartusa does not break the resort into 2 phases and simply lists a $86 with tax price for the 3 bedroom. It would appear that you can request Phase 2 either way and hope to get it. Whether you pay the $128 + tax at hotelkingdom or the $86 at hotelmart

as for the 2 bedroom hotel kingdom has Phase 1 listed at $63.99 + tax and hotelmart has the 2 bedroom for $76 tax included (for August) so in this scenario hotel kingdom appears cheaper

okay so I'm not losing my mind ROFL phew!

when are you going in august? I'm 99.99% sure this is where I'm going to make our final destination changes.

so... if we go through hotelmartusa we can request phase 2 or if I go through hotelkingdom choose phase 1 and that's what I'll end up with and it's really okay? LOL how far away is everything? pools etc?

I'm going in August 22-30 I have never been there but my research confirms that most people have given this resort both Phase 1 and 2 good reviews. I suggest you call Cypress Pointe and find out what they say about how to be sure you get either rPhase 1 or Phase 2 . Hotelkingdom will tell you that you are reserving one or the other but the front desk doesnot seem to agree. Thus I could not see spending more for something I wasn't very sure I would get.
Each phase has a pool but the pool in Phase 1 is the volcano pool with a small slide that may appeal to kids more.

I am booking through hotelmart because they are much cheaper than hotelkindom for the 3 bedroom and hotel kingdom refused to price match. However I have decided that I will be happy with either Phase 1 or Phase 2 so trying to secure the new section is not an absolute priority as a matter of fact I think my kids would enjoy the volcano pool thus being in Phase 1 may be a plus.

I have stayed at Cypress Point Resort. I haven't stayed at the Grandvillas but from what I have read they are nice. Just my suggestion, if you have a choice, choose the Grandvillas. Eventhough Phase 1 has been remodeled, the unit we stayed in still showed it's age and wear and tear.
