Was wondering if anyone else ever considered this. The walk to Hospitality House, Olivia's, Goods, and all the pool amenities could be cut so very much shorter if there was a walking bridge from roughly the volleyball court across the river towards buildings 27,28 & 29.

Wouldn't this make for an improved experience for everyone? What would you think?

It would have to be pretty high so that the boats could go under.

I don't see how that makes anything better than what is already there, and it would be an eyesore.

I agree with Diane, it would not look too nice, it realy isn't too far of a walk. THe farthest building (51) from HH is about 2/3 of a mile. And 2/3 of a mile is nothing compared to the amount of walking in the parks.

As nice having a bridge would be having that little extra distance to walk sometimes feels good.

Frankly, with how tall they would have to make a bridge, you would be doing a lot MORE walking than just following the provided sidewalk. I have walked from buildings 51 & 55 at South Point and from building 38 at Turtle Pond to HH in less than 10 minutes. I timed it once from building 55, and it took me exactly 8 minutes. It takes me that long to walk down to my mailbox here at home, so not a big deal.

"Bridge, we don't need no stinking bridge", I know its not the correct quote but you get the idea. Seriously, how much distance do you think it would cut, 1/10 mile if that. If walking to HH area is an issue you can hop on any bus as HH is the last stop on the route.

I always thought that a walk thru the "neighborhood" was the best part of Old Key West. A vote for no bridge here.

No bridge! That would ruin the feel of OKW. The walk is quite easy, even from South Point and if it isn't, you can hop a bus to HH. Besides, can't we all use the exercise?

I tend to agree with most on here. I love the feel of strolling through tropical gardens at OKW. if I am so tired that I need a short cut I am more than likely going to hop a bus to get where I need to go. We were at the end of the Miller's Pond area last week and I really enjoyed the walk to Olivias and the HH.

Also, since I own at OKW, my dues would have to pay for that sunshine bridge and I'd rather pay to get the appliances and cabinets fixed and the bathrooms steamcleaned.

Sure hope JL doesn't get any bright ideas or " Due to member requests and feed back we are adding a second bridge at OKW for member safety".

I love to stay at OKW and vote no bridge.....take the internal bus!!!! and leave OKW as it is and I love to walk there. Last March when we were there we found a path to walk to DTD, loved that.:goodvibes
