Well....we are a Disney family, joined DVC in 2003, and have pretty much vacationed once a year in WDW since. This year was a big change for our family, as our DD11 is moving on to middle school. We have always taken her out of school for a week in October, and we were really bummed about not going this year. We did not want to have her miss a week of school, and so we figured we would skip a year, get used to the middle school flow and try to figure something out for next year.
The other day we were reviewing the school calendar, and since Labor Day falls a bit late this year, we thought we would plan a trip (and surprise our DD) and go to WDW the first week of September. Sure, it's a bit early for us, and I would much prefer to go later Oct/Nov for the F&W fest, and to escape the cold that creeps in to our lives at that time of year.
But - when faced with not going to WDW, or trying to figure something out, it seems we could not stay away, and so we will have another WDW vacation, and hopefully it will allow our DD a little fun time before moving on to middle school.
Cant wait to get back. I guess it will be days by the pool and mornings and evenings at the parks. Plus, we are staying at the Boardwalk this year, first time back in that area since 2006!
