Could I ask for some good thoughts for my cat, please? updated

Good thoughts and prayers. I'll be looking for a good-news update on soon!:(

Thank you for the good wishes... He still needs a lot more. :( The medicine to stop the vomiting isn't working all that great and he has blood in his runs. I feel so bad for him... he is just laying around. No attempt at water, let alone food. I'm glad the vet gave him the subcutaneous fluids today to last the weekend.

I still haven't heard back from the vet on his bloodwork. He told me later this afternoon and it is after 6pm now.

Oh, any ideas on how to "shave" by his tail (he is rather fluffy and it is getting extremely icky back there). I really don't want to stress him out too much now.

Thanks.

Karen & Nicholas :(

Poor Nicholas. :(

It's horrible to see our furbabies hurt. Have you tried cleaning him with a wet paper towel? And then, instead of shaving him, maybe using scissors to trim some of the fur off?

You and Nicholas will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh I'm so sorry that little Nicholas isn't doing well......how is he feeling tonight? I hope the meds have kicked in for him. It's so hard to see your fur babies sick and all you can do is watch.:(

Here's {{{hugs}}} for you and Nicholas from me, Sammy and Willy too.:D

I would clean him with a wet rag until you can talk to the vet. If you use a razor on him it will make him itchy. When our little girl, Trixie (12), gets the runs I take her to a local groomer (actually it is a vet office that also has grooming) and they use small clippers and clip her bottom. I can't use scissors and clip her becuase she is too thin. She has no fat or muscle so I'm afraid I'll hurt her if I try. I hope your kitty feels better soon.

Pixie dust for your Siamese, zakatak. And a  for you.

And I agree with chager about the wet rag. I had a Persian and he got nasty back there sometimes. Lukewarm water on the rag shouldn't be too upsetting.

I'm so sorry about Nicholas. Poor baby, I hope he starts to feel better. Send PD your way.
