Meanwhile, is a 5-6 degree decrease really that noticeable???

In an effort to abide by the rules: 5 -6 degrees is a HUGE difference. Lets go with 5, if you swam in 80 degree water it will feel chilly, 75 degree water is down right cold. Now 60 degree water is freezing, 55 degree water could end up being fatal in a short time. I'm not buying this thread but I will answer your question.

for those of you who live where it's cold tonight, I suggest you turn the temps down 5 degrees in your home tonight and see if you notice it.
