Do socks that are truly 100% cotton even exist? I've gone to stores and found that the ones marked as "Cotton socks" are about 70%-85% cotton. So I came home and Googled "100% cotton socks". The ones I checked, when you read the fine print, were really only about 80% cotton. I'd read that cotton socks might make my feet not nearly so hot and tired. I'm thinking of trying the highest cotton percentage I found today, the "Cotton socks" I found that were 86% cotton. At first I wasn't happy, but they're looking better and better. Anyone know where I can find 100% cotton socks or is 86% as close as I'll get?

I think if they were 100% cotton you would have to wear garters to keep them up. They add whatever it is that makes them stretchy and tight so they stay on your feet.

Ditto on the stretch part (pure cotton I don't think can offer the "fit" ) and if I understand correctly (based on my son's super sweaty feet and my discussion at a running store) you do not want pure cotton for moisture wicking purposes..you need a synthetic in there or they will be more prone to being damp/sweaty.

Buster Brown makes 100% cotton socks. I order them online.

Yes, Buster Brown makes them. I know vermontcountrystore.com has them in their catalog. My aunt used to wear them and they are a little bit looser on the top. You can pat them into place and they look fine.
