cots in Pop Century...or another suggestion

They do not have roll away beds at Pop. The rooms are too small for proper egress and it is against the fire code. As a pp mentioned you were given incorrect information.
Figures.....oh well, wasn't going to spend $15 + tax a night anyway. Still, makes you wonder!

Would love to get the second room, but when we had to move up our dates, we lost all of our great discounts...and thus, a much greater bill for lodging than we had budgeted. Stretching the budget now and not enough time to 'make more Disney money'!
This is the last chance for a '4 of us' trip to Disney...future Disney trips will include baby and daughter's DH

Get the inflatable bed. Have Housekeeping remove the table and chairs. Lay the bed down there during the day.

Just got back! The beds in our room (50's Pop) had platforms and they can be moved. We ended up buying a twin inflatable bed and we just moved the table and chairs over every night...lots of room. The inflatables go up and down in minutes, so we felt it was no big deal. Now if you wanted a bigger bed, you could probably get one in there, but it would be a little tighter getting around, especially in the middle of the night...in the dark!

Rollaways can only be used in King Rooms I believe. Disney will not allow more then 4 people in a room at POP unless the 5th person is under 2. The beds are now on these wooden bases that don't move easily.

They won't even link your MB to the room if there are already 4 people in the room (we had 3 rooms on my last trip and we wanted to be able to get into both rooms no matter what adult was taking the kids back).

I know its nice to stay on property but have you considered looking at a condo off property. You could get a 2 bedroom for the same cost I as pop I would think???

OP is already back and followed up with the post before yours with what they did.

We had a twin inflatable in the room with no issue and plenty of space around it.
Also, the automatic inflatable took 3 minutes and was about as loud as a hairdryer.

Shadowcat70...this is exactly what we did!
Lynzer4....As I mentioned much much earlier...we only had 4 people in our room (4 adults). My issue with possibly needing an extra bed came up because my oldest daughter is now pregnant (she wasn't when we originally booked) and we felt that she may need a whole bed to herself. As things would have it, my daughters were fine sharing a bed...but our bed caused some very bad back pains with my wife. She ended up using the inflatable...and slept very comfortably for the next couple of weeks!!!

What brand of mattress did you buy? Do you recall how much? Did you get somewhere near Disney? Also the pump was built in?

Your looks/sounds comfy & we may need this option!

Did you stand it up during the day?

We bought the Intex brand bed for about $35:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00177BQI...TF8&colid=2J4TKDPKU52ZU&coliid=I35MUWNTVTP36F

We took it out the box, tested it at home and then deflated it, folded it, and put it in one of the suitcases. It only filled up half a "medium" sized suitcase (the size a bit larger than a carry-on).

The pump was built-in and took only 3 minutes to inflate (and 3 minutes to deflate), so we deflated it before we headed out in the morning and just folded it and put in on the rack above the ironing board. The noise the pump made was pretty much about the same as a hair dryer, which was nice. All in all, we were VERY happy with it. Our teens said it was comfy to sleep on, and we just packed some extra sheets from home for it.

We did the same as Shadowcat70. Ours was also an Intex twin bed with built-in pump. Ours came with a cloth bag and with the bed and our sheets, it was the size of a carry on bag. Took less than 2 minutes to inflate and deflate. We put it away every morning and put the chairs/table back. We paid about $80, but that's in Canada. And yes, don't forget to bring sheets/blanket.

Thanks so much for the info you guys!
Looks like a comfy mattress and I like how it is up higher off the ground!
