ok...here's our story...we had a 2 week holiday planned for end of October/ first of November for my wife and I and two adult 'kids'. Had 1 week at Pop and second at PO Riverside. Well...daughter #1 announces she is pregnant (all good...she's married etc lol). But she would be 33 weeks...as we are in Canada, we cannot get health insurance for her!!!! So we moved up our holiday to the first 2 weeks of October...lost all our room discounts and cannot get into Riverside :-( We now have 2 weeks at Pop...still good! At least we are in WDW!! However, now we are concerned that 'pregnant daughter' will need the entire bed to herself...so my question........does Pop offer cots? Or does anyone have any other suggestions...besides sleeping on the pool side lounge chairs :-)

In May of this year they retired the couple of roll aways they used to have. My suggestion would be to bring/ship an air mattress. We have used them in the past and have worked out great. We just leaned it up against the wall during the day so to not take up the floor space when not needed.

Cots are not provided I agree with @dansdad your best bet is to either bring, or ship, an air mattress.
Congratulations on your new Grandchild to be. They are great additions to a family.

Thank you dansdad and Hopefully...guess we'll have to pick up and air mattress on the way down there (we are driving). I'll have to scout some department stores!

Anyone know how much space there is to lay down an air mattress? Need to know what size to buy!

Not much at all - however we pushed one of the beds over up against the wall (the bed closest to the bathroom) when they didnt have bed rails available our check in night. that *might* free up enough space for a twin. I can't imagine anywhere in that room more than a twin bed would fit on the floor though. You might be able to use the space where the table/chairs are but then you have to find another space for those.

the rooms are pretty tight!

haha....never thought about actually moving one of the beds...doh! But that is a great idea. Thank you! I guess we'll look for a twin size.

I wouldn't have either, but housekeeping came and did it when they said there weren't any bed rails the night we checked in. It worked out so well we kept it that way all week!

I think that beds can't be moved anymore? I thought I remember them being anchored to the floor? Or something?

Unless something changed since last October the bed and platform all
Moved together. Nothing was secured down, but it looked like they wouldn't move. I definitely wouldn't have attempted it on my own If housekeeping hadn't come.

I just got off the phone with WDW and the beds are "not movable" :-( Maybe, technically they still can be moved, just with great difficulty???? They do offer a rollaway bed that you can rent for $15 per night!!! Well, I think we might just have to do some nightly and morning furniture moving!

Weird! maybe I'll stop telling people they can move the beds now haha

Well Meeko5...I will confirm (update) to all that want to know on October 2nd, when we arrive!

The CM that I was talking to passed me through to 'housekeeping' at Pop Century. She is the one that said the beds were not movable. But even so, I'm really curious if the beds are anchored down or just difficult to move because they are on a base now. Either way, we will figure something out...will be just glad that we're in WDW!

I don't know about POP anymore. The beds used to be moveable. I do know that on a recent stay at the CR I lost my eyeglasses down under the bed by the headboard. No problem, get under the bed....wait, what? there was a wooden base attached to the floor. I couldn't get my glasses. We were in CL, so I let the CM at the desk know about my problem. A couple of hours later we went back to the room to pick something up and there was a workman in there taking the bed apart in order to retrieve my glasses. That bed could not be moved without dismantling it.

hmmm....almost all the pics I can find online show a base under the bed (a few had legs, but they may have been old pics). So I guess maybe we are out of luck moving the bed.

If financially possible, I would suggest booking a second room. I would not enjoy 4 adults in one room, especially one being pregnant and potentially needing a bed to herself. you could then request adjoining/connecting room (I never remember which has the door in-between)

They do not have roll away beds at Pop. The rooms are too small for proper egress and it is against the fire code. As a pp mentioned you were given incorrect information.
