We'll be doing MNSSHP this year, and we're trying to come up with costume ideas. They need to be cool and breathable, so we're good with costumes that are more 'inspired by' than 'look just like.' I care more about being comfortable. :)

Anyway, we're having trouble coming up with a theme for all of us. We want something Disney related, obviously. There's me and my husband, my three boys who are 10, 9, and 4, and my 6 year old daughter. Every theme I come up with ends up being one short!

We had thought of UP - Carl, Ellie, Russell, Dug, Kevin, and... ? I really wanted to make our stroller look like the house.. but I can't figure out another character for one of my boys to be (my daughter was going to be Kevin).

Thoughts, suggestions, help? Please! :)

Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Pluto and Goofy

Tinkerbell, Wendy, Peter Pan and some lost boys

The Swiss Family Robinson

Winnie the Pooh characters: Pooh, Christopher Robin, Tigger, Eeyore, Pigglet, Rabbit

The first thing I thought of is Minions. LoL.

Here is a Despicable Me family in costume (no minion though). If you google image search minion family costume ideas... tons come up. From cold weather to hot weather.

Alice in wonderland: Alice, queen of warts, mad hatter, tweedle dee and tweedle dum, white rabbit, Cheshire Cat, March hare (more than 6 so you have options)

Toy story: Jessie woody buzz bo peep, aliens, potato head, slinky dog, Rex, mrs potato head

Little mermaid: Ariel, Ursula, Eric, Sebastian, flounder, scuttle (easier to do inspired by: red shirt, yellow shirt with blue stripes)

A bugs life: way more than 6 characters for you to choose from (antennae headbands for the ants, gypsy, slim, redshirt with black dots for Francis)

As others have said, Peter Pan, fab 5 plus daisy, Winnie the Pooh

Also Star Wars: leia, Luke, darth vader, Han, chewie, and wicket or yoda. Or have all the kids be jawas or padawans (or could include padme and anakin if you wanted to add in prequel)

Mouseketeers. Ear hats for everyone along with white tshirts with their name ironed on.

Dalmatians. White shorts, t-shirts and ball caps with black spots painted on and felt ears attached to the ball caps.

What about adding Carl Muntz (the villain in UP). Bing search for images - could get a flight jacket from army surplus, a scarf and the goggles.

It's not Disney, but I've always wanted our family to dress as characters from The Wizard of Oz for Halloween. Sadly my older kids refuse.
DH - wizard
me - wicked witch
ODD - Dorothy
ODS - scarecrow
YDS - tin man
YDD - cowardly lion
Black schnauzer - Toto
White schnauzer with pink attire - Glenda the Good Witch

Our group had a total of 8, all ages, and we went as mickeys baseball team. We got a lot of comments and were very happy with our choice. It was sooooo hot and we stayed comfortable. Its one of our favorite things to do at WDW. Have fun!

Have you heard of Disney Bounding? Google or look on Pinterest for lots of ideas. It is exactly what you stated," inspired by" rather than" look just like."
We are a group of seven and thinking 101 Dalmations would easy and comfy. Black and white and all kinds of spots and it would be fun to throw Cruella into the mix!

How about the construction worker who fights with Carl about his Mailbox! One of your boys can dress up as a construction workers, carrying around a mailbox.
