Hi!

I was reading the thread on wedding colors in which Luvndisney said she was having her flower girls dress in Tinker Belle costumes. I thought "how cute is that!" and it got me to thinking about what I should have my nephew wear at our wedding.

We are getting married on Castaway Cay. Ceremony will be at a spot overlooking the water with the cruise ship in the background. Reception is back on the boat at Palo's (a Northern Italian theme restaurant, so lots of rich blonde wood, etc). I chose the tropical bouquet (roses, calla lilies, and orchids). We aren't having any attendants, so I don't need to worry about matching/clashing with BM dresses. The boat is white, red, Mickey yellow and dark blue/black, so I'm going to have our invitations and favors use those colors.

What are some cute Disney characters I could have my nephew, who will be 2.5 yrs at that time, wear? We could dress him as a pirate, but I'm not sure that's what I want at our wedding, you know?! He loves Nemo, but otherwise doesn't watch TV so doesn't have his own favorite Disney character yet.

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

My nephew is going to be wearing a tux with a mickey vest. Carolyn Allens!

WE arent having a ring bearer, b/c there are no little boys in our families, but i might just go with a tux for them...cause that's cute enough! Or the prince charming as suggested. There really aren't that many other disney costumes for boys that would be good for a wedding.

Hmm... cleaned up pirate... I did see a Captain Hook outfit on sale on DisneyDirect.com. And I love the rings in a treasure chest idea!!

Or, I was thinking of dressing him as Captain Mickey: red double-breasted jacket with gold epaulets, blue pants, white shirt, captain's hat with Mickey ears. We won't let him hold the acutal rings. DFTW told me no less than 2 brides have dropped their rings into the water and the divers had to go find them. Yikes!!

Luvndisney was right... there are very few costumes for boys, period. I can't have him go as Buzz Lightyear. Those wings would knock into somebody!

I like your captin Mickey idea. After seeing the tinker bell post I thought the same thing about my 4 year old nephew. I suggested having him dressed as captin hook with the rings on the hook, but that got big eye rolls from my mom. So he's going to wear the same tux as the "big guys". He's going to look sooooo cute and I can't wait to see him.

How are you dressing your flower girl? Are they walking together? If they are and she's dressed in a miniature wedding dress or princess type dress then a Litttle Prince charming.. tinkerbell .. then of course captain hook or peterpan. Disney boy costumes I've seen that might work for you are Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Beast from Beauty and the Beast , Prince Charming, Hercules, Aladdin, Mickey.

My little guy will be about 2 1/2 when we do a vr next year. I can't wait to see him in a little tux. I love little boys in tuxes.... just too cute!

JonettaA... where did you find Mickey vest? That sounds adorable.

No flower girl. No one has a little girl yet. Otherwise, I'd dress her in pink with fuzzy angel wings!

Where did you see the Prince Charming outfit? I didn't see one on DisneyDirect.com.

I liked the idea of the treasure chest for a ring pillow so much that I bought one this past weekend at WDW! The shop in the Yacht club has clear plastic ones with a nice catch on the lid so there is no fear of it coming open. They come with chocolate coins inside which we will eat (hee hee!) and then I'll make a little pillow to put inside the box and sew on fake rings for my nephew to carry. I couldn't decide on the Captain Hook outfit or not. I has CH's face on the ascot around the neck. Not sure about that. But the treasure chest is so cute and so fitting with a DCL wedding that even if he wears a tux he can carry the box.

Thanks for that idea, Problemchild 718!

I can't remember exactly where I seen it, but I did see a prince charming costume made by Disney last week online. I did a search for Disney costumes and seen it on one of the links. Sorry I can't remember where.
