Costs and benefits of a cabana on fantasy?

i am looking for some advice- can someone let me knownehatbthr benefits are for renting an onboard cabana? How close is it near the pools? If my kids can swim on their own can I watch from the cabana? Does the rental include anything and if so what does it cost? We have a family member that needs some shade and a guaranteed spot to relax (as opposed to hoping we get a lounger) due to medical issues so I am trying to find out more about the cabanas. We are silver CC members- hope likely is it we could get a reservation?

There are no onboard cabanas. But there are plenty of shady areas around the pools. The only cabana that Disney has available are the ones on Castaway Cay.
