Hello. Last year I bought two cookie tins , the ones with good cookies dips in choco etc. Well I never opened the tin and cookies are still sealed. The expiration is july 2018 and the 2nd tin is August 2018. Are these still good or should I just toss? I know some stuff is still good after expiration date but don't know on these

They are probably fine. I would just use them for yourself though and not give them as a gift just in case they have gotten a little stale.
I wouldn't dare give it as a gift-lol! I made a cup of coffee and I don't use sugar., I use premier protein as a creamer to sweetened my coffee but realized I ran out. I look in the cabinet and grab a Folgers cappuccino thingy. Drank my drink and it was so good. I looked at the package to see what flavor it was and the expiration date was Aug 2018. It tasted great and I wouldn't have known. Its my hubbys stash.

I always laugh. When we were kids, NOTHING had a date on it. Lol

I agree! Sell by, or better by, dates, are just that. They don't mean a product is ruined, or should not be eaten. I never throw things out that may be dated (exception is I watch my meats) but use my judgement on whether most other things are ok or not. Sometimes, things made with oils may taste rancid, so they would get thrown out, but doesn't mean they are 'bad' in the sense they'd poison you or make you sick, they just taste yucky.
