Costco price adjustment

We bought a t.v. On October 14th. Today it is $100 cheaper. Is there anything I can do or am I out of luck?

I just ran into this with a blue-ray player. They have a 30 day limit for a price adjustment. As it turns out, my player was a Christmas gift so it was still new in the box. I was able to return it and rebuy another one.

The woman at the counter did tell me if they didn't have anymore on the floor I could rebuy the one I was returning. She even checked to see if there any on the floor before I walked away.

Sadly, I think (based on my experienec) if you can't return your TV because you have already used it, you would not be able to get the price adjustment.

If you go in with your receipt and tell them the price is currently lower, they'll refund the difference on a Costco gift card. My husband and I did it earlier this year with a TV that went from $1100 down to $950 and a laptop.

Hi,
I am a Costco employee and it is our policy to adjust any price change within 30 days.
They will allow you to buy it again and return it with your old receipt. But in order for this to work the item must be in stock.
Once in a while, a manager will allow a straight out adjustment past the 30 days, but that is really case to case.
Good luck!!

If they have it in stock, and you are within the 90 days return policy you can buy it then return it with the old receipt.

OK I bought the sonicare toothbrushes last week and they are going to be $30 cheaper in a few days. I cannot return a used toothbrush but will they price adjust it?

If within 30 days they will give you cash back for the difference. On electronics, if under 90 days you can return it for full refund then purchase the same item at the discounted price. Past 90 days it is unlikely you will get any credit but doesn't hurt to ask.

Electronics such as computers, TV's etc. change models every few months so prices drop for older models constantly. Thats why the 30/90 day policy. Prior to this people would abuse Costco's satisfaction guarantee and return laptops and TV's when a new model came out. They'd get their money back and use it to upgrade free to a new model.

Well live kinda far from Costco wouldn't want to make 2 trips. Seems fair that they would just price adjust without all that but maybe not?

After 30 days but within 90 days they will accept returns but won't price adjust. Seems odd but its because the manufactures will credit Costco back for the returned item and the new item you buy most likely cost them less. If they price adjust then Costco themselves are out the money.

Why would you make 2 trips? They won't price adjust over the phone so you'd have to go again. Just bring your old receipt, buy the new sonicare (make sure it is exactly the same one so you might want to write down the UPC doe), bring that new one to customer service with your old receipt.

I agree a price adjustment after 30 days would be generous. I bought my product 5 days ago and I see there is a Costco coupon that becomes valid in a few days $30 difference

If it's within 30 days they will price adjust, simply take your receipt in within that time frame and you can get the adjustment, no need for two trips. :)

I don't think that it is reasonable to expect a price adjustment three months after purchasing an item.

:thumbsup2 Me neither, I feel Costco's adjustment policy of 30 days is extremely generous. :goodvibes

The original post was from December, in case that's what prompted the 3 months comment. They were still beyond 30 days, but it hadn't been 3 *months*. :)
