Costco Package Questions

I've been looking at the Costco travel site and it looks like the Costco DLR package will save us money since we will get a premium character meal (already planning) and a $20 gift card. But, I have a couple of questions.

Can you make room requests when booking a DLR package through costco? If so, do you call the resort directly? I'd like to request a bunkbed room at GCH.

Second, the premium character meal - how does that work? Do I just schedule my own meal at one of the two places on the list ... and do I receive vouchers?

Not sure about the room, but you do get vouchers for your meals. We've gone through Costco twice now & its been a pretty smooth process each time.

We have gone through Costco a couple of times and after I made the reservation I called the Hotel directly for any room requests. They will not guarantee anything but I have always been granted our requests.

The Costco character dining is all inclusive as well, tips, tax all included, so literally the only thing you "might" have to buy is the nice pictures they will be selling.

I used Costco for one of our trips and loved it.

When I called the number Costco listed, I was directly connected to the Disney reservation system.

From there I was able to request what Character Meal I wanted. I was also able to make a request for a room. About a week before we were to arrive, I called the hotel directly to see if my room request was still in their system. It was, and on check in they honored it.

I really think that the DL hotels try to honor requests as much as possible.

Anywhos, for same price as the regular Disney reservation, from Costco we had a wonderful Princess Breakfast for 4, and a $20.00 gift card to boot.

In my two Costco trips, the rates through Disneyland.com and Costco were exactly the same, no discounts, however the added perks, including the Free Character meals are exceptional.

We received Luggage Tags, Priority seating for certain shows, Lanyard Redemption coupon, $20 Gift card and the Character meal, easily a $200 value added on what was already a good price.

At the time I made the reservations, Disneyland was offering the "Pay for 3 nights and get 2 nights free." The quotes from Disney and Costco were exactly the same!
