Forgive me if this has already been posted . . .but we are thinking about booking our vacationthrough Costco and was wondering if anyone had info on the Premium Character Dining that is included.

Specifically, if we can call to make the reservation for the dining before we get the package from Costco. Worried that they might fill up before we get the stuff from Costco.

Also, it might be nice to know if we can get in to the dining as that might be a factor in which days we actually book the trip.

Interesting... Costco Canada does not sell WDW packages.

I'm curious about the details of this.

I was curious so I looked.

I don't find any WDW-specific packages offered by Costco, so I'm not sure there is any such benefit. They offer Orlando destinations that include tickets to WDW, but no character dining thing.

For Disneyland, however, they do have it:

††Premium Character Dining Experience includes Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner at Ariel's Disney Princess Celebration (Disney's California Adventure Park) or Goofy's Kitchen (Disneyland Hotel). Other Character Dining locations also include Minnie & Friends Breakfast at Plaza Inn (Disneyland Park), Surf's Up! Breakfast with Mickey & Friends at Disney's PCH Grill (Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel), Chip 'n Dale Critter Breakfast at Storytellers Café (Disney's Grand California Hotel & Spa). Tax and Gratuity included.

It's worded weirdly - it sounds like it is only good at the first two locations, and the others are simply mentioned.

It appears that what they give you is something like a single table service dining credit like with the DDP, but it is only usable at those locations.

I would expect that you can book an ADR at the appropriate location in advance...

From what I see they only offer that in California, not WDW. do you have a link or info? I am curious myself.

For those who ask, The benefit of booking through Costco is not the Disney Benefits, but the Costco ones-depending on the level of membership

I was going to say it sounded to me like this was a package for Disneyland, not WDW.

The Disneyland prepaid dining program is voucher-based and is nothing like the WDW one.

Usually when they say they include a character meal in a package, there's a limited choice as to which character meal - they're not all included.

Yeah, I am going to DL not WDW . . . the Costco package is for DL . . sorry for the confusion.

Ah, these forums are mostly WDW-oriented. There is a DL specific forum though where you might get better details.

First of all :welcome: to the DISboards...

Secondly... you may have better luck getting an answer on the DisneyLAND forum.

But please come back and let us know once you've figured it out, we'd love to know. :)

Oh . .thanks . . I just joined up today and didn't realize the distinction . .thanks for the heads-up.

Really is too bad the forum is called "Theme Parks Attractions and Strategies" instead of WDW attractions and strategies. But I know from another naming issue that the sections canNOT be renamed, so we just gotta deal...

The reservations (a word it seems DLR has gone back to from Priority Seating) at DLR can be made without concern to the method of paying for them. So the OP has been told that he can make the dining arrangements even if he hasn't booked the package.

I think it is mostly historical...the boards were always WDW-oriented, and expanded from there...

I'm not sure what prevents them from being renamed, but I don't run a vBulletin board yet...just the primary header of the section would need renaming.
