Costco new store opening?

I just got a Costco membership since they are opening one by my work. I was wondering if they have any extra good deals the weekend that they open or if I should stay away due to crowds for a week or so. Unfortunately, it's an hour from my house, so right after work at the busy time is the only time I'll go.

A new one opened in my area not too long ago. I believe the only deals were discounted memberships or freebies with a new membership.

As an existing member, I waited until after the grand opening.
