Costco has Prime beef!

On my last couple of trips to Costco, I noticed that they had prime rib eyes and prime NY strips in a separate case. I have never bought prime "anything" at a grocery store because I have never seen it before anywhere. Last night I decided to splurge. I bought two rib eyes just to see if I could tell the difference. They were EXCELLENT. They were also so rich that two were really enough for four of us. They were also cut a little thicker but I watch them like a hawk on the grill. Nothing worse than over cooked rib eye.

We have been buying our beef from Sam's club for years. They have REALLY good beef. We bought a 1/4 cow not long ago and the beef at Sam's is a little better than this beef even.

I hve always bought my beef at Costco but before they only has choice. Prime is new category.

Dang. No Costco near me. Maybe this is a trend and other retailers will carry Prime.

I love getting a whole filet at Costco.

It seems pricey, but makes several meals.

Oh good, I'll have to keep an eye out next time I go. I got their filet mignon steaks last year to make for Christmas Eve, and they were fantastic. Well worth the price!

We always get our meat, chicken and fish from costco.

Last time we bought steaks they had both the regular and the Prime. Honestly, the prime didn't look as good as the regular and the regular was several dollars cheaper. So we bought the regular and the steaks were outstanding. Juicy, tender and flavorful.

I would try the Prime if it seemed much better, but honestly their meat is pretty good in general.

We do that too. Their filet's are wonderful. Certainly cheaper than getting them out and a lot better too.
