Costco AP Tickets

wow so its $50 gift cert. per AP that you get??? So if I need 3 I would get 3 $50?

Yeppers!!!! that would be $150.00 ... LOL...1 days worth of food at the park !!!:rotfl2:

The GC's are good for almost everything (food, tickets, rooms, merchandise etc...) at the Parks and or Disney Stores and do not expire!!!

The ONLY thing that I saw that you could NOT buy was Disney Dollars.

Here is the link to see what you can and cannot do with the Disney Gift Cards:

So is there a list of which stores are considered "SoCal" I's like to see where the closest one to me is.

Hmm so now with being in Oregon and only able to get them in So. Cal how do I get ahold of these?

I'm trying to figure that one out too. lol I think you would need to find someone that you can trust and they can trust. They would need to be willing to buy them for you and you would need to be willing to send them the money and trust they will send the tickets to you. A lot of trust there. :scared:

:

My SIL decided to call DL and specifically ask about the activation of the Costco AP's and they told them they had until 5/31/2009 -- that is different than that I was told here.

If anyone out there has one in hand and can tell me the exact specifics on activation that would be great and I will send Pixie dust!!!
:wizard:

Not that there is much time between 5/9 and 5/31 but it does make a difference because school gets out on 5/27.

I hardly think I can wait until May to go but just want to "justify" the delayed gratification to DH!!! :woohoo:

It reads "Exchange this certificate by 05/31/09 at the Disneyland Resort ticket booths... annual pass will begin on date of redemption, is valid for one year of admission except on applicable blackout dates..." yada, yada, yada

So you can safely hold out until 5/31 to start your year. ;)

Whenever we renew, I always get a Premium and BF gets a Deluxe.. If I'm understanding correctly, it's only going to cost $20 to upgrade for my pass?!

Yikes, we don't renew until March. I wonder if I cant buy them now and redeem them later.

actionvaughn, you can buy them now. As mentioned before, you have until 5/30/09 to redeem them.

According to Disneyland, Southern California is defined as zip codes 90000-93599. I would guess that the Costcos within those zips would carry the passes.

I have not figured out any way to buy my AP yet! I MUST know someone down south, LOL. I'm running out of time though since I leave in 16 days. I imagine you could make the transaction through PayPal if both you and the other party are subscribed, or you could deposit into their account if you wanted to get the money to them right away. I did try one person (friend of my grown daughter who lives in Bakersfield), but he did not have a Costco membership. Dang it!! :guilty:

I believe you can. As long as you do it before May 2009.
So if the price doesn’t increase from now until March 2009 (fingers crossed) you would only have to pay $60? How much is the premium right now? $379? So if you pay $269. That comes out to 110 and if you use your $50 gift card you would only pay $60 difference… So $329 total..

I also read that Disneyland is going to be offering paying for your APs monthly. As long as you put a down payment of whatever a 1 day non hopper costs ($69?).

Premiums are $389 unfortunately, but we'll be getting BF's Deluxe pass at the same time too, so I'm sorry to say someone's $50 giftcard is getting hijacked. :rotfl:

I'm heading out anyway, so I'll swing by Costco and see what's up. If they do have it, it looks like I'm making out like bandits with my Premium.

DANG! $389! We bought ours before the price increase, but geesh, they're getting to $400 fast!

I know if you renew your premium you get $30 off. But I would just use the $50 gift card! $50 is better than $30! :thumbsup2

:wizard: I saw the pass at our local costco ( san diego) the other day, I believe the cost was $261.00 . Hope this helps.

Excuse the crummy quality, it was taken from my camera.

Price was $269, and I'm definitely picking it up next week. :cutie:

THANKS!!!!!!!!:grouphug:

Just got back from our trip with our Costco AP's :cool1: . We were the first to buy from the La Quinta Costco - so it took a little bit and a couple of employees to figure out what they were doing. But we left with 4 paper tickets saying $269 AP + gift card. (and FYI they also only received 60 AP's)

When we arrived at the park on Thursday morning we went to the ticket booth (as instructed) to redeem our tickets. This took about 45 minutes (in part because the CM had never seen them, and then messed up my AP). So I did miss EE - but sent DH and the kiddos (their tickets were processed by then) to hit Peter Pan. (I also received to "no strings attached" fast passes for my inconvenience).

So basically, the CM had to scan each ticket, and for the 3 of us that had had AP's before gave us a new AP with the new expiration date, along with 3 $50 gift cards. For my nephew (who had never had an AP) they gave him a gift card along with a new paper ticket that he had to take to the bank the same day (simply to get a picture and a card) as the CM at the ticket booth took down all of his info.

What did the Costco employees have to figure out? Is there any problem with having someone else buy them for you? I found someone to buy my 2 passes for me...hope it isn't a problem!

No - not a problem at all. The Costco employee just had to call another employee to find the tickets (so just a warning it may take a few minutes). Also just a heads up that once we found the Costco, we couldn't find the tickets (they were back past the Christmas items by the hard alcohol). We asked an employee and they told us sorry, they didn't sell them. I had to let him know that I spoke with an employee yesterday, and they should have them (then it took a few more minutes on the phone) The passes just come as generic tickets to hand to the CM at the ticket booth - so anyone can pick them up for you.

It took the employee at our Costco a little while to find the tickets too. I guess it's so new that no one really knows what they are supposed to do yet.

we would really like to find someone that can get this for us and we pay them for it.... We would wait until our trip but we have a feeling they will be gone in the next 2 months.... Anyone willing to help us out?

I was going to get one for DH, but with two of the current trips not requiring us to use our AP's (Halloween Party), I think the So Cal Select is still the way to go, but man that $50 Gift Card is VERY tempting to upgrade his pass so we can do the food and wine event this year.
