Hello, think I've read here that Costco is still offering the Deluxe annual pass at the previous cost, plus a bonus $50 Disney Gift card through October.

Wondering if you get the $50 card at the time of purchase, or is it something you have to send for? Also, is the $50 card good at Disneyland, or is it like a Disney Store only type thing?

I'm in Northern California and our Costco's do not offer this, but we're probably stopping by a So. Cal Costco to buy this in Sept. if they're still around.

Just activated ours yesterday! When you get there you'll go to the ticket booths and they will give you a ticket to exchange for your pass and they will give you the gift cards. We used them all over the place for food, merchandise, snack stands.....

do u have to live in So Cali to get this offer and do u have to have a costco card to purchase teh ap at costco? I'm guessing so?

I stopped at Costco in Fullerton a few miles north on Harbor last Monday and bought mine. Activated them that afternoon. Got our $50 Gift Cards and used it for food etc at Disneyland. They are still $269 and must be activated by Oct 31. Must have a Costco card to buy but you do not have to live in Southern CA but they are only for sell in Southern CA Costcos.

You do not have to live in so cal - you do have to have a membership to purchase at costco although I have heard if you can get a costco gift card you can go in and buy it without a membership- I do not know that for a fact though, just heard it.

This offer and the old price are only available until Aug. 23rd. There may be a new offer after that date, but it would be at the new AP rate.

The Costco deal is about the best out there. However, we just found a similar deal but not sure if it's still going. Our hotel (Comfort Inn) sold discounted 5 days for the price of 3 a few weeks ago. Price was about $145. At Disneyland they credited us the full 5 day ticket value rather than what we had paid. This meant upgrading to the Deluxe AP cost us $80. Total cost for Deluxe AP was thus $225. Costco is $269 - $50 = $219 but you gotta spend the full $269 and use the $50 towards something else including possible upgrade to premium AP or Deluxe AP with parking.

This is a change in Disneyland policy. In years past they always credited what us what we paid for a pass regardless of the face value.

Not sure if the local hotels are still offering discounted 5 for 3 passes but something to look into if you can't get the Costco deal.

Wow! We are upgrading our 6 for 4 passes next month (and in know way expect to get lucky!!)
The 5 for 3 (which can no longer be purchased) were $179 for adults $149 for kids (5 day PH value is $204). Did you upgrade before or after the price increase? If before it sounds about right (by my calculation $90 to upgrade) if after then it sounds like they used the 5 day value ($85 to upgrade). Hmmmm?

Just curious, do you remember which Comfort Inn you purchased this from? There's a few in the nearby area, the one we usually stay at is the 1251 N. Harbor address.
