Does the additional driver have to be a spouse only? I'm traveling with my spouse, 25 year old daughter and her fiancé. I want to add her as the additional driver and I've read all the fine print but I don't really see where it says spouse only or someone in the same residence as you.

An additional driver does not have to be a spouse nor do they need to reside with you. I've added my cousin as an additional driver, no problem.

My cousin was my additional driver, too. They look at the driver's license, so they know where they live.

I added my friend. And with Alamo, at least, you can do it online and still do skip the line thing. It does ask for the additional driver's license information. (I book on Costco Travel but before trip go onto Alamo site, pull up my reservation and get it all set up.

Even w skip the line, does 2nd driver need to be present at pickup to present I’d?
