Is there an airport tax that we have to pay when going through customs? I flew to Nicaragua a few months ago, and they had one. I'm just curious as to whether CR does also. Thanks!

I don't recall paying any. If ever ABD takes care of it.

Thanks! In Nicaragua it was only a dollar. However, they wanted crispy, pretty, men's looking dollars. :confused3. I read some comments online about $26 entry fees into CR, but they had all been written over five years ago.

I am quite sure there was no entrance fee to CR. That I clearly remember. In Ecuador, there was an airport tax leaving the area and Eduardo, our local ABD guide made sure we had our stubs with us so we didn't have to pay extra.

There is an exit tax when leaving Costa Rica. Your guides will pay the tax and give you a reciept to show at the airport before your last day.
