Looking at the Costa Maya cruise and wondering what time frame is better for going? Of course money is an object lol But looking for a better time that we could still go into the water and have sun. Not worry about rain or grey clouds once we get to port.

Also any reviews on Costa Maya or Cozemel would be great! I know this one hit CC 2x's and I have read all about there so No doubt we will have a blast. Just wondering what to do at the other 2 ports!?

When we were at Costa Maya last August the weather was all over the place that day. It was windy in the morning and some excursions got canceled. Then it cleared up and was sunny and beautiful by mid-day. Then it clouded over and rained hard by the time the ship pulled out.

One other thing to mention is that the summer and early fall are the "off peak" times for Costa Maya. We were the only ship in port that day. By the late fall/early winter there can be three ships in port that day.

It was nice having Costa Maya all to ourselves.

Best place to get info on Costa Maya is the cruisecritic boards.

About 2 weeks ago, I booked ours for Sept...simply because as I compared the prices of the Sept cruise and the the first on in October, there was a decent price difference for the same category....at least enough that I knew I would rather spend that "saved" money for my splurging onboard or at the ports. So you may want to check out the pricing of each, if that's a considerable deal breaker for you. :)

One more plug...our Meets thread, "Double Dip' Delight..", for the 9/27/08 cruise has been a blast...really good people will be on my cruise, and we would love to have you join us!
