I saw that July 11th 2013 prices will come out online. We plan on booking a family suite in the AoA. I've never booked thru Disney before, will I need a deposit that day? If so, does anyone know what % they need when you make your reservations and how long before the total amount it due? Thanks:)

If you're booking a package they require a $200 deposit. The balance is due 45 days prior to your arrival.

If you are booking a package, you will pay a $200 deposit plus insurance if you purchase that (which is an additonal $125-ish). If you are purchasing your airfare through Disney, you would also pay the published airfare price at that time. Your balance is due 45 days prior to arrival. You can make payments online or call.

If you are booking room only, you would pay 1 night deposit + tax. Remainder would be paid upon check in (or you can CALL and make payments).

The pp's have already posted the deposit requirements, but I just wanted to add that if you book online, the deposit is due immediately. With that said, if you need a few days to make the inital deposit, you can have up to 7 days, but you have to call to make the reservation to get that grace period. Keep in mind, though, that if the deposit is not made within 7 days, your reservation will automatically cancel. HTH :).

Just to clarify... The $200 deposit will be refunded if you cancel at least 45 days prior to arrival?? And changing dates, room type, dining, tickets, guest and even hotel, is free if you do the change at least 45 days prior?? :D (sorry for stealing your thread DisneyBliss7! hope you don't mind ;) )

Yes, as long as you cancel by the 45 day mark, you get the deposit and any other money paid toward the reservation refunded. Making changes is easy and can be done anytime, provided there is availability at the resort you want, dates you want, etc. If changes are made after the 45 day mark, Disney usually waives the change fee if the total cost increases; however, if changes are made after the 45 day mark and the price decreases, there would be a $50 change fee. Changing guests can be done, with the exception of the lead guest, as Disney usually doesn't change (or doesn't like to change) the lead guest on reservations, so keep that in mind if you think guests might have to be changed later on. Also, if you book one type of reservation and want to change to the other (i.e., book room only and want to change to a package), the room only would have to be cancelled/refunded and a package booked, requiring a new deposit as money paid toward one cannot be applied to the other (with the same going for changing from a package to room only). HTH :).
