Hello All!

Hubby and I leave for our honeymoon in a few short days.
We were wondering what the average cost of a counter service meals are? Any estimates on breakfast, lunch, and dinner or two?

TIA!

I assume you aren't on the DDP. For our family of 4 (2 DD 5 & 3) we find that CS will run us about what the cost would be at Chili's/TGI Fridays or someplace like that for lunch/dinner. Some meals are big enough to share, some aren't.

Hope this helps.

You can also check out the menus here:

allears.net/menu/menus.htm

(I don't have enough posts to put up a full URL, but you can copy and paste it into your browser's address bar.)

They have menu items with pricing and are pretty accurate. This way you can plan out your meals with costs since everyone eats differently.

I also recommend going to allears.net, it lists menu items and prices and usually up to date. There are certain places that are great for sharing and you can get away with only spending $15 or there are others where you will spend in excess of $30.

DH and I went on our honeymoon as well!!! I hope you have as much fun as we did! Congratulations! :)

We found that if we got two meals and of drink to share we'd spend anywhere from $20 to $25 depending on locations and size of meals. We also found that many days we could split one meal and a side. WDW tends to offer very large portions.

Hope this helps! Have a wonderful trip!

Thanks for your help!

We did look at various menus, trying to average costs. We are not big eaters usually, so we didn't get the DDP because we figured we could not eat or drink that much! We have a few ADRs at restaurants we really wanted to try. We figured eating at Victoria and Albert's once was worth eating at CS restaurants the majority of the days! We also have ADRs at the Wave, Kona Cafe, and SciFi dine-in theatre. I love Sci-Fi and stayed. I stayed at the Polynesian the last time I was at WDW and absolutely loved Kona.

Hopefully we can cut some costs here and there. We don't drink a lot of soda and will be carrying water bottles with us. We just don't know what to expect as neither of us have been in a long time.
