There are a couple of machines at DQ that are $1.

DD and I elected to collect the pennies rather than the pins. I must say, I am SO happy we did that. She has 50+ pennies from the two trips, and she remembers where she got each one, and she has them proudly displayed.

The cost 50cents plus the penny is nominal compared to $5 for a pin.

two quarters plus the one penny for pressed penny.

for smashed quarter you will need five quarters. $1.00 for cost and one quarter for the smashing.

We always take our quarters and pennies with us - you should have seen the TSA guys trying to figure out what was in our luggage on the x-ray machine!
