I'm expecting something over the top, but does anyone know the cost? We are staying within 10 minutes of MK, is their another way to get to MK other than your own car(walking excluded)?

No way to buy a ticket that lasts 5 days?? or is that asking to much?

Nope, unfortunately it's a pay-per-day situation.

And honestly, there *are* ways to avoid paying the $14 which I'm not going to get into, but you're then stuck taking multiple buses to/from your "free" parking spot, which can take up to 2 hours each way.

I can think of better ways to spend 4 hours of my vacation each day. You're saving money staying offsite- so it's just one of those unfortunate additional costs you have to deal with.

I just wanted to point out that you're not allowed to walk to the Magic Kingdom unless you're at the Contemporary Resort.. and you cant walk to the Contemporary Resort from anywhere else.

Disney's property, their rules - no sidewalks.

It's not that it's not allowed per se... but it's rather difficult to walk on water :rotfl2:

I've heard of rare times when the monorails are down and therefore the ferries are overcrowded. In rare cases like that, is it impossible to walk to the ticket and transportation center and MK parking. I know it would be a long walk, but if you can walk from MK to Contemporary Resort and from Polynesian to TTC, is there really no walkable way from Contemporary to Polynesian?

In the most literal sense of the word, yes, it's possible to walk to the Poly from the Contemporary.

But you will be threatening your own life to do so. No, I'm not joking.

There's a VERY narrow road that runs from the TTC under the canal between Bay Lake and the Seven Seas Lagoon that is open for pedestrians only during the Run Disney Races.

End of the world as we know it survival situation- sure you could walk. But it's not safe/practical/allowable for daily usage

Walking anywhere along a road at WDW where there is not a sidewalk is against the rules. Buses, CM's driving around, etc.. will radio in or call a number that every CM has to report problems on the roads of WDW. Security will b along shortly and question you and escort you - via their vehicle - to either your destination or off property. If you refuse to comply at the time you will be issued an immediate trespass on the property and removed by the OCPD.

I guess I'm jaded, but that sounds pretty inexpensive - it's $15 at our local six flags, and averages about $25 for the local sports venues and arenas. Forget parking in the city!

It's extortionate considering they often don't do anything - including directing people to open spaces. When it's busy they do.. but the Epcot lot is notorious for being unstaffed. People end up driving backwards down the aisles at that point and it's a safety issue.

If you arrive early enough in the morning (I wan to say 7am) you'll just have signs from the night before that say "please proceed to your destination." Then you can park wherever you want for free.

Stay onsite and get free parking

Stay on-site and spend a minimum of $40.00 up to $450.00 per night more but get free parking. Stay off-site and spend $14.00 per day for unlimited parking for that day. Mathematically which one of those works out best for you?:)

I only stay onsite so I never worry about parking. You do not get the same Disney feel if you stay offsite. Disney resorts are amazing. I usually stay yc it BWI.

keep in mind once you pay the $14 for the day it's good all day even if you change parks (so if you park hop to Animal Kingdom for the afternoon you don't have to pay the parking fee again just show them your receipt)

Same for locker rentals :)

Agreed, I find the cost is pretty much in line with other similar venues.
