Cost of new Windows? Recommend brands?

We just got Harvey windows. Love them. Paid about $16,000 for windows & installation for about 24 windows. Two of them were very large custom size.

I had double pane windows installed. In addition to insulation for winter..... NOISE reduction was a huge benefit. When neighbours fire up their gas mowers, I can still watch TV without raising the volume. Triple and Quad panes would reduce the noise further (especially near noisy roads and airports), but the cost goes up big time.
Ah, never heard of anything other than dual pain. I know they make a big difference in noise, but aren't cost effective to save energy.

Another tip... instead of installing premium windows for the entire house. Consider installing premium windows only where you have a problem.

For example, my South facing windows allows too much Summer heat into the house. So I only paid for the LowE glass on the south windows to keep out the heat.

Cost of windows vary depending on the products. There may be certain low priced products which may not be much durable but then certain reasonable priced products might be durable for a life time or less. I was somewhat confused once when I had to buy certain window frames for my house and that is when my relative had asked me to have a casual talk with http://www.landmarkquality.com/ who would help me get the perfect windows for my house. You can try having a talk with them for the same.

I would see if there is a company in your area that custom manufactures their windows.

We renovated our previous home and replaced all of the windows for a fraction of the cost most people are mentioning. The "standard size" in our home was approx. 7' x 3' (and our bedroom alone had 8 of that size windows-- just to give you an idea of how many and how large) and we also had two 7' x 9' picture windows downstairs in the front of the house.

Cost of the windows depend on the brand selected as per their quality. I had got double hung windows and an end vent slider at my kitchen and believe me, initially I was somewhat worried about the price but then while purchase I had got some sort of discounts and promotions so as to which it didn't cost me much instead the value for the windows were to be given. Hope they can help u too :)
